Trivia: Tatiana Maslany, who plays "Ghost", was in her late teens when she was cast in the film, and had to be made up and outfitted to appear much younger than she really was for the role. This also helped to obscure and hide her character's true motivations behind the guise of an innocent young girl.
Trivia: The film features a brief reference to the idea that the werewolf chasing Bridgette is from "the suburbs", in a very subtle reference to the notion that the werewolf is potentially the character of Jason from the original film.
Trivia: The film was shot on location in an old hospital, and reportedly, there was very little set decoration needed from the crew. Rooms that appear old, decaying and dilapidated actually looked like that in real life. This actually ended up helping the production to save some money.
Trivia: Originally, the producers and director were keen to make another film in the series, taking place after the events of this film, following the character of Ghost taking care of the werewolf Bridgette and using her to seek vengeance on people she felt has wronged her. This was even hinted at by the ending of the film. But this film (and the subsequent third film, a prequel) didn't make quite enough of a profit for another film to seem viable to potential investors or studios, so the idea was dropped.
