Continuity mistake: At Carol's barbecue a soldier drives up in a jeep with a message for Dr. Marvin stating that they lost contact with rocket No. 11. Dr. Marvin holds the message and an envelope in his hand as they look up and see the rocket burning up in the atmosphere. He never puts the message back into the envelope but when he sits down the envelope is alone and the messages is gone. (00:13:50)
Continuity mistake: Carol talks on the remote TV set to Gen. Hanley and Dr. Marvin in the bunker and we see the rocket behind her with the No. 10 on its fin. The next time we see the rocket as it's being prepared for launch it has the No. 12 on its fin. (00:16:15)

Somehow in total darkness without any power we still hear the sound of the aliens speaking which is strange because if you look at the tape recorder it's not running at all. (00:24:40)

Even though we just saw Carol and Dr. Marvin fly into Washington in an airplane he's driving the exact same make and model car that they were in at "Operation Sky Hook".
