Continuity mistake: When Moses returns from Ethiopia amidst great fanfare, he's wearing two golden wings crisscrossed across his chest. At first they are crisscrossed with his left wing over his right, but when Moses kneels in front of Sethi, the wings are crisscrossed the opposite way, with his right wing over the left. Continuity mistake: Many times through out the film the red bag that contains all the money is not seen with the main group, even though they supposedly keep it with them at all times. The most noticeable example is when the two main characters first fly into Spain in the balloon and when the interior of the basket is visible the bag has simply vanished, but they have it again later.

Continuity mistake: When Luz is talking to Jet on the phone for the first time, from the front she's fiddling with the phone cord with her left hand. When it cuts to the reverse, however, her hand is flat on the desk.

Continuity mistake: When they are dancing the king's earring is on his left ear then it somehow jumps across to the other ear.

Continuity mistake: Although the assassin and the ambassador are seated in the same tier of boxes, the assassin's view of his target through the opera glasses is from below and not from across.

Continuity mistake: In the final shot, just as the credits are rolling, the British warships are sailing away with the sun setting behind them. In an earlier scene the radio commentator says that the sun is setting and a shot of the sun touching the surface of the sea is shown.

Continuity mistake: When Ishmael is in bed watching Queequeg looking around his room, his head rotates between shots.

Continuity mistake: Before Dr. Marvin removes the helmet from the dead alien, Maj. Huglin is holding his rifle in his right hand. In the next shot he's using his right hand to remove the helmet. Then in the shot after that he's not touching the helmet at all. (00:56:15)
