Continuity mistake: A car chase early on has a cutaway to the speedometer of the villain pursuing Bond, of a dashboard totally and obviously different to the actual one on the car. The director apparently knew it, but they were low budget and had no choice. (00:18:25)

Continuity mistake: The dashboard of the driver's car that picked Bond up in Jamaica keeps changing colour and brand, from a red 1957 Chevrolet dash to a black 1957 Ford dash. (00:18:25)

Continuity mistake: When you see Bond in his hotel room for the first time, there are two bottles on the table, a clear one and a green one. When he re-enters the room and checks his traps, the green bottle has disappeared. Bond takes a bottle from a drawer but that also is clear so what happened to the green one? (00:23:40 - 00:41:00)

Continuity mistake: One of Bond's traps in his room is his briefcase; he puts talcum powder on it. When he is done he sets the case down on the right side of the table. To the left is a mirror and by the mirror is an assortment of perfume bottles and a shaving bag. When he returns, the contents on the table are reversed exactly, and the perfume bottles are replaced by a magazine. (00:24:25 - 00:40:20)

Continuity mistake: When Bond leaves the hotel to go to Governor's House he has no pocket square. At Governor's House he has his pocket square. Then in the next scene at professor Dent's, the pocket square is gone again. (00:25:30)

Suggested correction: There is a considerable amount of time between these scenes. Enough time to add or remove the pocket square.

Continuity mistake: When Bond goes to see a fisherman, to ask him about a man's death, the fisherman walks away, saying he knows nothing, and walks into a bar on the beach. He is talking to the barman and the bar has nothing on it, until a second later, when, suddenly, there is an open bottle of beer, a glass half-filled with beer and an ashtray. (00:28:00)

Continuity mistake: When we first see Bond and Quarell talking in the bar, Quarell asks if Bond likes good eating, to which Bond replies he does. Camera cuts and his entire facial expression has changed from smiling and laughing to a deadpan serious one. (00:28:30)

Revealing mistake: When Bond fights Quarrel and Pussfeller at the back of restaurant we can see that Pussfeller is replaced by a stunt double. (00:28:50)

Continuity mistake: During the evening meeting in the bar, we can see the band and a singer, but the movement of his lips (despite the fact that they were trying to hide them behind a big microphone) doesn't match what is sung. (00:30:15)

Audio problem: When we see the band playing in Puss Feller's club it's obvious the man singing is only mouthing the words, the dubbed voice is singing too fast to match up what he's saying into the microphone. (00:30:15)

Audio problem: Pussfeller says "No-one died from my cooking yet" However the audio is overdubbed as it's too clear. (00:30:20)

Trivia: Sean Connery started going bald when he was 21. In 'Dr. No' (he was 32 then) and any subsequent movies in which he has hair, he was actually wearing a hairpiece.

Suggested correction: Contrary to popular belief, Sir Sean Connery was not wearing a hairpiece in his first two outings as James Bond. Although he was already balding by the time Dr. No was in production, he still had a decent amount of hair and the filmmakers used varying techniques to make the most of what was left. By the time of Goldfinger (1964), Connery's hair was too thin and so various toupees were used for his last Bond outings.

Question: When James Bond goes to see Professor Dent at his office, it's morning. After he leaves, Dent goes out to Dr. No's island and picks up the caged tarantula. The next time we see Bond, he's returning to his hotel, and it's night, probably late, as he goes to sleep soon after. Where did Bond go between seeing Dent in the morning and returning to his hotel that night?

Answer: It's obvious what he does between those times. In "Goldfinger," Felix Leiter sees him just moseying off between an event and the climax of the movie and says to his pal "Ten'll get you one it's a drink or a dame." No doubt Bond's using his time...productively.
