Deep Blue Sea

Other mistake: When Carter is sitting in front of one of the small hatch-like doors around the time that they were climbing the ladder to escape from the rising water, one can clearly sea that the door is no more than twice the width of Carter (4 feet at most) yet the 45 foot shark about 10 to 12 feet wide seems to have no trouble squeezing through. (01:01:40 - 01:04:20)

Other mistake: After Scoggins is eaten by the shark underwater in the wet lab, Carter quickly goes up to get some air with his face in between two pipes. When he submerges again to swim down to the hatch to escape, the water is perfectly clear; after an attack so close the water would be cloudy with blood and bits of human skin and worse.

Other mistake: Near the beginning of the film, Carter asks Tom how high the fences are, then he tells them to make them higher, and Scoggs confirmed they were raised, but you can see that the fences never get any higher.

Factual error: Near the beginning when the boat pulls up and the guy on the boat tells the blond convict he's got a beauty 13 foot "Tiger shark" that's up in some sort of sling, the so called tiger shark is actually the same robot mako shark from the rest of the movie, just with stripes on it. Tiger sharks have a blunt rounded nose, not a pointed one like a great white. (00:07:35)

Russell Franklin: Just what the hell did you do to those sharks?
Dr. Susan McCallister: Their brains weren't large enough to harvest sufficient amounts of the protein complex. So we violated the Harvard Compact. Jim and I used gene therapies to increase their brain mass, a larger brain means more protein. As a side effect the sharks got smarter.
Janice Higgins: You stupid bitch!

Trivia: All three sharks are killed in almost the same way the first three sharks is killed in the 'Jaws' movies. Blown up with gas, electrocuted and the last one is blown up.

Question: How did they do the scene when one of the sharks ate the bird? I know they used animatronic sharks for any interaction with the people, so did they use the same method for the bird? It was "inside" the shark after all.

Answer: This was a CGI scene.
