S.W.A.T.

Continuity mistake: In the beginning when the SWAT team has been dropped on the roof, the helicopter also drop the ropes. From above we can see the ropes land at least ten feet away from the ventilation shaft. When it cuts to POV of one of the SWAT members we can see the rope lying right next to the shaft. (00:02:10)

Continuity mistake: There is a shot where an unmarked police car pulls up next to the subway entrance and the cops open the doors (and 3 other cop cars pull up behind this car, however in a following shot from a different view we see the unmarked cop cars open again and this time only 2 cars pull up behind it. (01:25:05)

Continuity mistake: When the team is at the restaurant celebrating, Street can be seen with a cup in his hand after he takes a drink and when the camera angle changes the cup is no longer in his hand.

MCKD

Continuity mistake: When Street gets into the altercation with Boxer in the classroom, Wade's shirt is ripped open and you see the undershirt. When Sanchez comes in and the fight quells, Deacons' shirt is buttoned back up.

Continuity mistake: Sanchez and Deke get out of the truck (and close the doors) at the subway entrance but in the next shot we see them do it again. (01:25:05)

Continuity mistake: After Alex cuts his uncle's throat, he pulls a set of keys out of his jacket pocket. The keys he pulls out have a Ford factory alarm attached to them, yet when we see him driving his uncle's car it is a Cadillac. (00:35:00)

Continuity mistake: When we see the guy checking the database for Alex Montel, he finds three different names and identities Montel uses. Each identity has a corresponding picture. The guy is searching under the name Claude Bezoul, and we see the picture on the screen that matched for Claude. But then on the printout, that picture is under the alias Alex Montel.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where the French bad guys kill the man in the restaurant, a pretty girl disappears. The girl is having dinner with the murdered man, then she is sitting at the bar while the victim and the French bad guy talk privately. When the French bad guy cuts the victim's throat the girl is suddenly gone from the bar. All the other associates in the room are still there, but the girl has vanished.

Deliberate mistake: When the procession gets ambushed in the street by the guy with the automatic weapon, he shoots at the police cars. There are no drivers in the cars.

Continuity mistake: When Montel tells the journalists about his money offer to whoever gets him out, the journalists are filming him through a wire fence. However, when the footage is shown on TV, it is a clear shot of Montel's face and there is no sign of the fence between him and the cameras.

Deliberate mistake: A lot of the supposed handheld footage from bystanders on the scene couldn't have been filmed as such. People are on the ground, but the handheld footage is close to the action, as if the bystander is right there next to the action. This is a common mistake in a lot of movies.

Plot hole: Alex Montel is arrested and then held because his identity cannot be confirmed. This is not a valid reason to hold him, unless he is a terror risk which is never mentioned and the FBI are not involved. His expensive lawyer should have got him out on a bond with no issue at all.

Suggested correction: I absolutely HATE defending the way TV depicts legal processes, BUT in this case I have to agree he could be held pending verification of identity. The reason is that he was arrested, not merely questioned, and the bond judge would insist on knowing his identity before setting bond. The only other way he might get out is if the arrest was bogus and the lawyer could convince a states' attorney or an arraignment judge of that. (Sorry, I didn't review this episode, and I don't remember the arrest!).

He is stopped for a traffic violation and then arrested for that. They don't even know he murdered his uncle, and yet he is held in custody. Even if the judge insists, there would be a bond payable and Montel would pay it and escape.

Continuity mistake: When Montell is pulled over in his dead uncle's car, the camera cuts to the 2 motorcycle officers attempting to stop him, you see both motorcycles have their headlights on as well as emergency lights. When it goes back to Montell looking in the rear-view mirror at them, you see one of the motorcycles headlights is now off and the strobe patterns have changed as well.

Visible crew/equipment: After the team obtain the limo, there is a shot of a car driving along the road. In this shot you can see the camera shadow on the ground. (01:32:30)

Continuity mistake: When Street and Hondo are going to meet Deke and roll up on him chasing the man, Deke and the man he's chasing run over the car and Street gets out. In this angle Hondo is already sliding over into the driver seat. When the angle changes, and is next to the passenger door, Hondo is just then removing his seat belt and sliding over. (00:27:15)

Continuity mistake: When Montel arrives at the airport and heads for the car waiting for him, the driver is standing right behind the car waiting. When it cuts, the driver comes walking towards the car from a few feet away. (00:23:15)

Mortug

Continuity mistake: When the S.W.A.T. team stops the escape attempt from the bus, the crime lord is seen getting out of the police car and walking towards the team. The camera angle changes and he is seen once again walking away from the car.

MCKD

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene when the Swat team is training and they raid the abandoned building, you can see one of the men throwing a flashbang into the room, which explodes. The flashbang does not explode at all, it is a visible device which can be seen lying on the floor that explodes. You can even see the wire running through the room. (00:44:20)

Trivia: When you see the Frenchie driving around in L.A, the music playing is Linkin Park. You see The French person look up and see a massive screen with faces being flashed by. It's the video for Cure For The Itch (the remixed version), also by Linkin Park.

Chosen answer: Because he was offered a lot of money. $100 million is a lot of money to turn down for someone on a policeman's salary.
