Final Destination 2

Continuity mistake: During the premonition where the Mustang flips and lands next to the log where the motorcyclist is lying; he is parallel to the road facing oncoming traffic, yet he gets T-boned by the big truck when he should have gotten hit head on.

EMTurbo

Continuity mistake: When Todd dies in part 1, his eyes are severely bloodshot from the strangulation. Yet when Officer Burke is looking at his picture on the computer, they are normal. (00:26:50)

Factual error: The cop has a badge, but New York State Police don't wear badges. (There is an official badge, they just don't wear it on their uniform).

Low Cow

Visible crew/equipment: At the gas station when the cop is talking, the camera pans by him quickly but for a second you can see the cameraman reflected in a metal part of the gas pump. (00:46:30)

Continuity mistake: During the premonition when the girl on the chopper shows her boobs, the guy on the left gives the joint to the other one, however in the next shot, he is holding it again.

Ronnie Bischof

Continuity mistake: When the dentist starts operating Tim's teeth with the noisy device, the dentist's left hand (holding a dentist's mirror) is on the right side of Tim's face. In another shot, his left hand with the dentist's mirror is on the other side and the position keeps changing between shots. (00:41:10)

Revealing mistake: When Tim runs into the pigeons and the glass falls: when it crushes him, you can see the arm bend backwards, same with his hand. When he gets snapped in half, the blood is water with some red food coloring stuff, not real blood. It is obvious that Tim is a rubber dummy. (00:43:09)

Continuity mistake: During the premonition where the Mustang flips you can see the left rear wheel center cap disappear and reappear.

EMTurbo

Continuity mistake: Look at the newspaper photo of Clear before she committed herself - she has relatively dark hair. Definately not a natural blonde. Yet current Clear has much, much lighter blonde hair. We saw that she was blonde at the end of Final Destination - yet, her darker roots aren't particularly prominent, showing that during her time in the institution she must have bleached her hair at least once. For someone who's paranoid about death, she sure doesn't seem to care about the potentially acidic effect of having peroxide on her head. [Someone asks this in the commentary on the DVD, and the response is "she was a natural blonde, she dyed her hair brown in the first movie." This stands up, as it explains why there were no brown roots at the end of the first movie.]

Phoebe

Visible crew/equipment: In the highway crash at the beginning you can see one stunt driver wearing a helmet. You can also see, that several cars, that flip over, have a kind of safety cage to protect the driver.

Continuity mistake: After Evan turns on the stove, the camera switches shots and the flame is gone, then the shot switches, and it is back again.

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film, when Kimberly has the pile-up premonition, her red truck flips over a few times; watch closely and you will see that in some shots there's no one in it.

Continuity mistake: During the beginning, the main character tunes a radio to 104.9 to hear the announcement about the vigil. When she tries the radio again after seeing her death, she tunes to 98.9. The same audio plays.

manthabeat

Visible crew/equipment: After the accident at the farm happens, the pregnant woman and the cop drive off and we the side of the white van. The camera is reflected in it before the shot dissolves into the smoke.

manthabeat

Other mistake: When Kimberly gets in the ambulance at the hospital to drive it into the lake she shifts it upward instead of downward to go from park to reverse.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kimberly, Clear and officer Burke are going to the cemetery to visit William, a crew member and camera are reflected on the front of the car.

Kevin Brown

Visible crew/equipment: When Evan is going down the ladder, once he falls off and looks up there's a person on top of the roof controlling the ladder movements. When he's lying on the ground and looking up for the second time, the person is gone.

Suggested correction: There is no person on top. At all.

Visible crew/equipment: Officer Burke is peeping through Kimberly's house. Just as Kimberly is pulling up, when the camera shows her getting out of the car, look closely at the window. You will see a reflection of 2 crew members - 1 standing next to the officer and another one at the end of the house. A camera is seen inside the house too.

Kevin Brown

Continuity mistake: When Evan knocks the skillet off the stove, the grate falls. After he gets his hand free, it's back on the stove.

Clear Rivers: Look, we drove a long way to get here, so if you happen to know how to stop Death, it would be really great if you told us.
William Bludworth: You can't cheat Death. There are no escapes.
Clear Rivers: Bullshit! You told me Death has a distinct design. But Alex and I cheated Death, not once but dozens of times. The design is flawed, it can be beaten.
William Bludworth: Such fire in you now. People are always most alive just before they die. Don't you think?

Trivia: There are lots of signs showing how Evan will die: the doll in the hallway is missing its right eye, the fridge magnets spell 'eye' after one falls off and lastly he has just bought an 'i' Mac computer.

Question: Why does Alex die before Clear? Wasn't she supposed to be next after Carter? I mean, Alex was supposed to die first but Carter intervened making death repeat the cycle according to the path of the explosion which included Carter dying first, then Clear second and finally Alex. Why didn't this happen?

filsch

Chosen answer: His death happened between movies. We don't know how many times they intervened with each other before he finally was killed.

lartaker1975

Answer: In the movie clear tells the others she and Alex saved each other countless times, however if you pause the movie and enlarge the scenes where it's flashing all the news paper articles it tells you that Alex was killed by a falling brick. I do believe Alex pushed clear out of the way of the brick.

Rachel Borden

Answer: Death works backwards now in this movie.
