Visible crew/equipment: Near the start, when Cher picks up Dionne in her Jeep, in Dionne's two closeups when she shows off her hat and when she says, "Well at least I wouldn't skin a Collie to make my backpack," the shadows of film equipment, crane and rigging are visible on the lawn as it moves along with the girls. Visible crew/equipment: After Josh tells Cher she's such a brat, at the start of the next shot which is the first close-up of Cher during the driver's test, just as she says, "I had an overwhelming sense of ickiness, even though I apologized to Lucy," the top of a crewmember's head, with his short wavy hair blowing in the wind, is reflected at the bottom of the Jeep's windshield, directly in front of Cher and the steering wheel. Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Cher is waiting for Christian to call and packing her dad's suitcase up, you can see the shadow of the camera equipment moving up on the wall.

Visible crew/equipment: When Cher goes to pick up Dionne at the beginning of the movie, you can see the reflection of a camera in the bottom left hand window of Dionne's house.

Other mistake: When Josh and Cher are driving home from a party, they show a shot of the car. It's a blue sports car that passes a Hertz car rental sign. When Elton is driving Cher home from the party in the Valley, they show the exact same shot of the blue sports car passing the Hertz car rental sign.

Cher: Daddy's a litigator. Those are the scariest kind of lawyer. Even Lucy, our maid, is terrified of him. And daddy's so good he gets $500 an hour to fight with people. But he fights with me for free because I'm his daughter.

Question: What did Cher mean when she said, "this is a bigger disaster than Malibu"? What happened to Malibu?

Answer: Malibu is a hazardous place to live. It's constantly threatened by wildfires, which burn out the underbrush. Then when it rains, there's nothing on the ground to keep the mud from sliding down the hills, so mudslides are a problem, too. She was probably referring to one of the many times that this has happened.
