The Transporter

Continuity mistake: The antenna/aerial mast located on the rear windshield/hood of Frank's BMW vanishes and reappears repeatedly. For instance, before the first shot of the two garbage collectors walking, in the closeup of the two AIC robbers in the back seat looking out through the back windshield (one screams) the antenna/aerial mast is gone. Continuity mistake: When Frank jumps from the trailer with the container load he lands on the roof of a bus, passing under the overpass, whose number is 15 and has a large ad on its side, under the windows. When viewed from the front, the bus number is 21 and the ad has changed, though he hasn't changed busses. (01:10:15)

Continuity mistake: As Frank is checking the containers, Lai is held captive and drinking tea when her father comes in. After he slaps her, the tea bag and cup fly across the table, but next shot they're near her hands. (01:05:00)

Continuity mistake: At the bus station, Jason Statham tips over a barrel of oil. You can see that the man who first slips on the oil has already got the oil all over his jacket before it could even have touched him.

Revealing mistake: When oil covered Frank breaks off the bike pedals, and slips his boots into them, in a following close-up we see an extra strap around his boot and the laces are actually tied over the pedal strap, to keep them secure. (01:14:20)

Continuity mistake: In the bank robbery getaway scene at the start of the film, the Transporter tells the robbers to put their seat belts on, yet throughout the chase you can see them dissapear and reappear.

Revealing mistake: Before Frank drives off the overpass onto the transport trailer, in the close-up there is sand placed at the top of the back tire (but the rest of the tire is clean), which creates the effect of the dust cloud as the back tire begins to spin. (00:07:45)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: While transporting the three AIC robbers, when Frank drives backwards down the auto transport trailer, the driver side mirror breaks as it passes the trailer's side safety bar, but that mirror is intact again by the next shot. (00:08:35)

Super Grover

Other mistake: In the end credits we see 'Newcaster' when it should read 'Newscaster'. (01:27:25)

Continuity mistake: When the inspector comes into Frank's house for coffee, Frank pours some milk into his cup. In the following shots the milk bottle is full again. (00:40:55)

Revealing mistake: In the hospital room scene, Wall Street stuffed a cloth into his employee's mouth, killing him. Wall Street then hooks the life support wire to the other living guy. As he walks out, you can see the dead man's neck moving as if still breathing. (00:38:25)

Continuity mistake: When the blue police car pursues Frank, who is transporting the AIC robbers, as they pass pillars (between the two cars) a man rushes behind one of the pillars facing it, but next shot his back is up against the pillar. (Only visible in widescreen.) (00:07:00)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Frank is being pursued by the blue police car, while transporting the three AIC robbers, the blue car's front license plate becomes lopsided to the right and then to the left, but when the car stops short at the traffic barrier the license plate is on properly. (00:06:50)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film, Frank is visited by the police inspector. He has a visible though muted scab on his right temple. It was not there before this scene, and goes away afterward. The scenes were shot out of sequence. Later in the film during the fight on the bus/depot, he gets hit at the right temple and blood is drawn. Normally the blood would seem to just be there for effect, but due to the scab shown earlier in the film, he must have really been hit pretty good.

Continuity mistake: When the Transporter gets pistol whipped, he gets a big bump on his head. In the next scene in the jail cell, the position of it goes from the left, to the right, then back again.

Continuity mistake: During the first chase, when Frank is trapped between the police cars and garbage truck he screeches his tires for a long time. When he is flying off the bridge about to land on the car carrier transport, you see the rubber on his upper and lower left tires are completely gone, but when Frank lands all tires are good as new.

Visible crew/equipment: At Wall Street's home, as the two men with the axes attack Frank, when the Asian man kicks Frank in the stomach in the shot looking up, the top of the set is visible in the mirror's reflection. (00:29:45)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Frank and Lai leave the police station, Lai jumps into the taxi, and as Frank walks up to it a man with long hair wearing a brown top is walking behind him, yet when Frank reaches the taxi, the man disappears.

Factual error: To start his first mission, Frank has an alarm set on his watch. The watch he is wearing is an Officine Panerai. This brand makes only mechanical watches. But what is heard going off is an alarm on a quartz watch. (The only Panerai with a mechanical alarm looks completely different.)

Wall Street: You can't get anything done in a world without rules.

Trivia: The BMW used in the film was an E38 735i, according to the BMW Wiki page. In the DVD commentary, Statham tells us it was a custom-built, manual transmission (when the production cars are automatics), and therefore one-of-a-kind. (00:02:30)

Question: Frank is fighting a lot of bad men in oil, so everything is slippery. My question is: What are the things Frank puts on the front of his feet, to fight the slippery oil, they are like half-rollerskates?

kh1616

Chosen answer: You notice that Frank removes those items from a bicycle frame. Those are stirrup-style rat trap bicycle pedals. They have serrated metallic edges which supposedly give Frank traction on the concrete floor, despite the oily mess.
