Continuity mistake: During the chase scene in the countryside, Chris Rock's character makes a turn into a field. If you look you can see marks from the car made in the grass from previous takes.

Factual error: When Chris Rock plays chess on the street on a chess park table, you can see that the right square on the board is black. Any chess player knows that a board must be set up white on right. Something that makes this mistake even bigger is that Chris Rock is playing chess on a downtown chess table, not a personal board. Meaning the whole table was made wrong by the architect, no way would a city let that kind of error continue. You can also notice that the table Anthony Hopkins is playing on was constructed properly.

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie where the bad guys are chasing Hopkins and Rock in the field, one of the bad guys lands on the hood of the Mercedes. He rips of the driver's mirror and uses it to smash the windshield. In later scenes the windshield is whole again.

Continuity mistake: The movie makes it out Chris is an awesome chess player, though in the chess scene, you see Chris make some terribly awful moves and make some moves that aren't even legal.

Other mistake: When Chris Rock is DJ'ing at the club he uses the slider on the turntable to increase the volume of the love song he's just started playing. The slider on the turntable has nothing to do with volume it is a pitch control used for controlling the speed of the turning disc. Even if he were controlling the volume with his left hand (out of shot), changing the pitch control to the extent that he did, would cause the record to sound terrible.

Continuity mistake: When Nicole gets out of the shower the scene switches to Anthony Hopkins and then switches back to the room and she is completely dry after only a few seconds.

Jake Hayes: So you're leaving me and going back to Ken, that's what I asked you.
Julie: The Ken part is just business.
Jake Hayes: Then what's the leaving me part, pleasure?
Julie: Pain.
