Continuity mistake: Seconds before Klaus and Claudia introduce themselves in the café, Brittany shouts at Alvin and then places her left hand at her side. Continuity mistake: During the Chipmunk sacrifice scene, three primitive tribe members stand on top of one another and fall across a large gap in the boardwalk - forming a human bridge for their leader to walk over. But once the leader is almost across, notice how one of the members beneath him has managed to turn around between shots. (01:02:45)
Continuity mistake: Towards the beginning when Dave is rummaging through his dresser trying to find a tie, he forgets that he's already wearing one which is tied. In the next shot Simon points this out for him (of course he doesn't mention that it's tied, though). But once Dave notices this, he turns around and we can see that his tie is now untied instead. Continuity mistake: At 3:00 A.M. when Alvin and Simon are walking through a cave collecting mushrooms for Theodore, the ropes tied around each of their ankles briefly disappear after Alvin throws down his bowl. (01:00:15)
Continuity mistake: At the airport after Klaus and Claudia escape with the Chipmunks and Chipettes, Inspector Jamal grabs Dave by the arm and leads him to a cruiser, where a high-speed chase commences. In this scene Dave is wearing a dark blue suit, but for a brief moment when Klaus and Claudia realize they're being tailed, Dave's got a light blue shirt on instead. (01:08:15)
Continuity mistake: When the three Chipmunks being sacrificed to the alligators, there's one shot during the scene - right before Alvin asks the tribesmen for a last request - where Simon momentarily disappears from the stake he's tied to. (01:01:20)
