Jaws 2

Factual error: When Tina's Joy is rammed, the boat moves away while turning. The boat, given the rate it was turning at and angle of the wind, should have tacked (the sail should have swung to the other side), knocking Tina out, but when it cuts away and cuts back, the boat has mysteriously stopped turning, and not tacked. Factual error: The "Cable Junction" in the movie is a transformer junction station built on a rock pile however when you look at it there is no algae or barnacles anywhere on the rocks. This is impossible because algae and barnacles thrive on rocks in sea water.

Leonard Hassen

Factual error: Whenever we see the shark gliding through the water, we only see the dorsal fin, never the tail fin. Realistically, we should see both fins above the water in at least some shots - especially when the dorsal fin is fully out of the water.

Hamster

Factual error: Several times Chief Brody was seen to both transmit and hear the boat radio without him taking his finger off the mic button. If the button is pressed you can transmit, but not receive.

toroscan

Factual error: Brody would have also received a shock inside his raft due to proximity and water continuity.

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Brody approaches the group of teenagers on their smashed boats, the angle cuts to show Brody approaching seen as if from Cable Junction. At this point, there is a huge mistake. The teenagers' boats are clearly visible in the foreground, the kids have all completely vanished, and you can spot the cameraman standing on the boats quite clearly.

Suggested correction: If it's the angle I'm thinking, I think this is wrong. The first boat to appear in that short is of Lucy and Patrick, but the positioning of the fencing joints plus the boat visible is simply the upturned Marge and Sean's boat that Sean was rescued from before this.

Martin Brody: You don't have to worry about being sued or being ruined if this turns out to be what I think it is, because there won't be anybody here!

Question: Can anyone tell me the name of the music the band is playing when chief Brody and his wife are dancing?

Answer: Teach me tonight is the name of song when Chief Brody and his wife Ellen are dancing to.

Answer: The songs are: Downtown, The Girl From Ipanema, and Teach Me Tonight.

The very first piece the Amity High School band plays, is a piece called "FANFARE." It was composed specifically for the film -> by Universal's music department head (at the time) HAL MOONEY, utilizing a small Universal staff ensemble of musicians. The composers of the other pieces: Downtown (Tony Hatch), The Girl From Ipanema (Antonio Jobim/Vinicius de Moraes), and Teach Me Tonight (Gene DePaul/Sammy Cahn). I had hoped so much when they came out with the definitive JAWS 2 score, that John Williams would have permitted these pieces to be included on the score. I think the case was that those particular pieces were not in the 'vaults' along with the John Williams score. We'd all agree, those songs are essential to the JAWS 2 narrative.

Any idea if the Teach Me Tonight arrangement from Jaws 2 is commercially available? Great instrumental in the big band style.
