Continuity mistake: When the red Federal Armored Express truck escapes and is then chased by Axel and Rosewood in the cement truck, the number on the back of the Armored Express truck is 86200D. When Axel and Rosewood find it abandoned the number is 86204D. (01:06:00 - 01:09:10)
Continuity mistake: When Axel pulls into the warehouse to meet up with Vinnie he barely gets the Ferrari into the dock doorway and it is crooked when he parks it. After he gets out of the car the car is pulled in further into the doorway and parked straight. (01:14:35)
Continuity mistake: As Sidney Bernstein pulls two $100 bills from his wallet and hands them to Axel he says, "Here's one, here's two. They're real crisp," so then Axel holds the two bills in his right hand and the papers in his left hand. However, in the next shot facing Axel, there are now at least four bills in Axel's right hand. Continuity mistake: It is obvious that Carla shoots Cain in the head, but when Foley looks down at him, there is no bullet hole or blood on his head, but there is blood on his abdomen like he was shot there. (01:18:00 - 01:19:00)
Revealing mistake: After Axel gets off the phone with Jan, when the trio are driving to the racetrack, in one shot Axel has his arm out the passenger side window as he's holding the red police beacon on the car's roof. Note the stunt double's gold watch instead of Axel's black watch. (01:19:45)
Continuity mistake: When Axel, Rosewood, and Taggart are racing to get to the Emperian Fields racetrack the red police beacon once again falls off of the car on a hard left turn. The next shot the beacon is back on top of the car. (01:20:10)
Continuity mistake: When Rosewood, Axel and Tagert reach the racetrack, Rosewood stops the car parallel to the stone wall and they open the car doors, but in the next shot the car is parallel to the turnstile gate entrance as they exit the car. (01:23:40)
Continuity mistake: When Axel, Rosewood, and Taggart pull up beside the racetrack near the end of the film, you see the front and back doors on the passenger side opening, with Axel exiting the front, and Taggart exiting the back passenger side. Next shot, we see the car from the driver side with Rosewood exiting the front driver side, but now Taggart is exiting the back driver side. (01:23:50)
Visible crew/equipment: After spotting all the trucks at Dent's oil field, when Axel, Rosewood and Taggart sneak down the hill and duck behind a car, the reflection of the moving boom pole and mic are visible on the car's surface. (01:27:00)
Continuity mistake: Near the end, when Eddy sneaks up behind the car, he picks up dirt in his hand. In the next shot, he has a gun. (01:27:10)
Continuity mistake: At the oil fields warehouse Axel opens a crate of grenades on the back of the truck. The lid from the crate shifts slightly from when he opens it to when he reaches in and takes out some grenades. (01:28:05)
Continuity mistake: When Rosewood causes the alarm to go off at the warehouse on the oil field, Axel tackles one of Dent's guys holding the gun on him, and the guy's sunglasses disappear and reappear between shots while he and Axel are fighting. (01:29:30)
Continuity mistake: When Axel, Rosewood, and Taggart are getting shot at at the oil fields a machine gun tears up the "Property of The US Air Force" crate in front of them. A few seconds later from a distance we can see that the crate is in perfect condition without bullet holes. (01:30:05)
Character mistake: In the final scene of the film where Axel is leaving, and Taggart says "See you around." when Axel turns around to start driving he says "Be cool Rein..." He accidentally uses the surname of the actor, Judge Reinhold, who plays Billy Rosewood. However he cleverly tries to cover it up by trailing off his sentence as he knows he has made the mistake. Suggested correction: He doesn't say "Rein", he says "be cool, man." But that was the end of his sentence, he wasn't trailing off.
Continuity mistake: After Axel gives Taggart the key to his "Uncle's" house and drives off, the real homeowner removes his sunglasses and walks toward Taggart and Rosewood, but next close-up his sunglasses are back on. (01:38:30)
Continuity mistake: The guy in the armored car's passenger seat disappears and reappears during the chase.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where they are chasing the armored car in the cement truck the chutes on the truck keep going from being down to folded up. This happens several times in the scene.
Other mistake: When Bogomil gets shot two bullets are fired, one by the drive-by shooter and one by Karla, yet there are three distinct bullet holes and a forth large hole in the rear windshield of Bogomil's car. Two holes are completely unaccounted for. (None of the windshield holes are tree reflections.)
Continuity mistake: When Eddie Murphy jumps onto the moving ready-mix concrete truck that Judge Reinhold has stolen, you can see that his gun falls out of his jeans, yet he is using it moments later.
