Continuity mistake: At the beginning, before Karla's robbery of the jewelry store, when the limo turns the corner the front license plate reads "Dent". However, when the limo parks in front of Adriano's its front license plate reads "77". (00:00:25)
Continuity mistake: When Karla uses the stopwatch during the Adriano's heist, her left arm is raised as she shouts, "Now!" and puts the stopwatch in her pocket, but a few shots later her left arm is still raised holding the stopwatch and she puts it in her pocket again. A few shots later, yet again, she is holding that stopwatch raised in her left hand and she shouts, "Time!" (00:02:15)
Continuity mistake: The same exterior shot of the Beverly Hills Police Dept is shown three times, with the same people standing/walking around in front. The first is just before Bogomil opens the 'A' envelope. The second is just before Axel looks up the coordinates on the computer, and the third time is just before Bogomil announces his position as chief of police. (00:09:15 - 01:02:00)
Continuity mistake: After being put on leave, Bogomil leaves the office and is driving towards the camera. His car is being followed, then passed by, the Mercedes Benz driven by Karla Fry. The license plate on the front of Bogomil's car is 2CTE919. When he pulls over to help Karla the license plate on the front of his car has changed to 2CTE673. (00:13:20)
Continuity mistake: When Axel enters Inspector Todd's office before going to LA, the clock on the wall reads about 3:54. Fifteen seconds later when Todd comes around his desk, it reads 3:59 or 4:00. (00:19:40)
Continuity mistake: When Axel arrives at the hospital he is wearing his watch on his right wrist, but when he walks into Bogomil's room to say hi to Jan the watch is on his left wrist. The same thing happens when Axel drives past the house with renovations, his watch is on his right wrist, but when he pulls into the driveway the watch is on his left wrist. Interestingly, none of these shots are flipped. (00:22:20 - 00:24:45)
Continuity mistake: Axel is driving down a residential street when see a house under construction. In the close up of Axel there is traffic behind him like on a city street. When he decides to turn around he is on a residential street again. (00:29:00)
Continuity mistake: When Axel gets the bag of vitamins from Rosewood the bag is rolled/folded closed in one direction only. This is also seen after Axel wets his face with the water from the champagne bucket. After he wets his face he grips the back with the folded top of the back facing him. The next shot he is walking towards the receptionist with the bag facing her. The folded edge is now facing away from him. The single folded edge is best seen after he picks up the bag from the receptionist's desk. (00:31:30)
Continuity mistake: At the B.H. Shooting Club, when Axel meets Russ Fielding the latter removes his headset and turns the grey cushion sides of both ear pieces facing out, yet when Fielding is seen on the monitor between those shots the ear pieces face the opposite way. (00:35:40)
Continuity mistake: After Axel shoots the screens in the gun club they show a shot of Karla and Russ talking about the shell casing. You can see the screens between and around them. There are no holes. Axel is also playing with the artificial laser sighted gun just as he was in the previous shots before he shot holes in the screens. Axel and Karla are later shown at the shooting range and the screens are perfectly intact. (00:36:30)
Continuity mistake: When Axel is in Bogomil's house and spots the sneakers, the sneakers and laces are filthy, but when Axel holds one of those sneakers its laces are clean and white. (00:43:10)
Continuity mistake: When Axel breaks open the drawer at the B.H. Shooting Club, he finds the notepad with the coordinates. When the pad is in the drawer there are five full lines of writing with a sixth short line below it, but when Axel takes the pad out of the drawer there are only four full lines of text with two more short lines below. Continuity mistake: When Rosewood, Axel and Taggart are driving in the car, such as on the way to the City Deposit/Federal Reserve Bank and later on the way to Sidney Bernstein, the car's rearview mirror vanishes and reappears repeatedly. (01:03:10)
Continuity mistake: When Rosewood is speeding to the City Deposit/Federal Reserve Bank, he smashes through a red/white booth and the car's front license plate falls off, but it soon reappears. (01:03:20)
Continuity mistake: When Axel, Rosewood, and Taggart are racing to to get to the City Deposit, Rosewood takes a hard left turn. During this turn we can see that Axel is in the passenger seat and Taggart is in the back seat. The next shot Taggart is in the front seat on the police radio and Axel is in the back seat. This clip was taken from later in the movie when the guys are racing to the Emperian Fields race track and Axel is in the front seat with Taggart in the back seat. (01:03:20)
Continuity mistake: When Axel, Rosewood, and Taggart are racing to get to the City Deposit, Rosewood and Taggart fight over whether the light is green or red. Rosewood drives through it and hits another car. The red police beacon falls off the roof and onto the hood. As the car spins the beacon is gone. In the next shot we can see the beacon back on top of the car above Taggart's head. (01:04:35)
Continuity mistake: When the red Federal Armored Express truck escapes and is then chased by Axel and Rosewood in the cement truck, the number on the back of the Armored Express truck is 86200D. When Axel and Rosewood find it abandoned the number is 86204D. (01:06:00 - 01:09:10)
Continuity mistake: When Axel pulls into the warehouse to meet up with Vinnie he barely gets the Ferrari into the dock doorway and it is crooked when he parks it. After he gets out of the car the car is pulled in further into the doorway and parked straight. (01:14:35)
Continuity mistake: As Sidney Bernstein pulls two $100 bills from his wallet and hands them to Axel he says, "Here's one, here's two. They're real crisp," so then Axel holds the two bills in his right hand and the papers in his left hand. However, in the next shot facing Axel, there are now at least four bills in Axel's right hand. Continuity mistake: It is obvious that Carla shoots Cain in the head, but when Foley looks down at him, there is no bullet hole or blood on his head, but there is blood on his abdomen like he was shot there. (01:18:00 - 01:19:00)
