Deliberate mistake: The Virtuoso would not be able to have a flashback of the explosion that included a view from behind the van (VanTerra or Winnebago?). (00:14:07)
Deliberate mistake: The Virtuoso (up several stories in a building) would not be able to hear what the boy and his mother across the street were saying. The boy even started to say "Hey, mom" when he was still exiting the building. (00:11:41)
Continuity mistake: At the cemetery, the Virtuoso was facing a headstone (grave marker) and the screen. There was an American flag to his right. The Mentor approached from behind him. When the Virtuoso stood up and turned to face the Mentor, the flag was now on the other side of the headstone. Also, no printing/etching could be seen on either side of the headstone. (00:14:49 - 00:15:17)
Other mistake: The dog ran from the woods to the plate of food set on the edge of the porch/patio, but approached the plate and started eating on the opposite side (with his body on the porch and facing the woods where he came from). A hungry and cautious stray dog would start eating as soon as he reached the plate. (00:05:13)
Character mistake: Narrating, the Virtuoso said, "You leave your vehicle in long-term parking and rent a nondescript sedan. Dark colors are best." After the first murder, the Virtuoso drives away in a light-colored car (white or gray). (00:23:35 - 00:26:17)
Suggested correction: Regarding rentals, he said " Dark colors are best, then gray."
Plot hole: After the Sheriff crashed into a tree, the Virtuoso passed him up but returned. The Virtuoso asked the Sheriff if he knew "White Rivers" and the Sheriff responded, "Yeah, I know it." The Virtuoso then shot at the Sheriff who was a few feet away and hit him in the neck. The Sheriff was able to run away. Instead of the Virtuoso quickly shooting again, he watched the Sheriff run into the woods and chased him. Despite being "experts", each made numerous shots that missed the other. (01:21:37 - 01:23:29)
Continuity mistake: A pickup truck, brown/tan car, and a gray car (in that order) are parked facing the front of Rosie's Cafe when the Virtuoso arrives. The Virtuoso parks perpendicular to the vehicles (but different angles are shown) and it looks like his car would be blocking the others - the front driver's side bumper is close to the brown car's rear bumper. The pickup truck is NOT there. When the Virtuoso gets out of his car, it is further back (away from the brown car's bumper) and the truck IS there. (00:29:56)
Character mistake: The woman who was shot in the farmhouse fled to the barn and apparently collapsed. The Virtuoso found her and - instead of adhering to his "do not get distracted" rule and acknowledging there will be "collateral damage" - he takes the time to find materials and suture her wound with fishing equipment. His "mission" is not complete and he still does not know who "White Rivers" is. (01:11:05)
