Continuity mistake: Killian goes to Ose's hut in the middle of the night; because of the rain, his hair is very wet and messy. In the shot where Killian says "You're my only friend here, you need to help me", a long strand of hair can be seen going all the way down his nose. Killian hands Ose some paper and Ose asks what it is. In the next shot of Killian, the long strand of hair over his nose is no longer there. (02:05:36)
Continuity mistake: When Killian is being driven through the fields, in one shot the driver has his hand positioned on the top of the steering wheel. When the shot changes, his hand is no longer on the top of the wheel. (02:07:58)
Continuity mistake: When Bisila is consoling the dead body in the hospital, at the end of one shot, she places her right hand on the man's face. When it cuts to a wider shot of the room, her right hand is on his chest. (02:11:31)
Continuity mistake: When the group of men are trying to bury Killian alive, Simon runs up and attempts to stop them. In the above shot when Simon first runs up to them, the man holding the torch places his arm over Simon's upper chest. In the next shot, his arm is over Simon's stomach. Then two shots after that, his arm is over Simon's upper chest again. (02:18:35)
Continuity mistake: When Simon is trying to stop Killian from getting buried, in the shot where he says "This man is innocent", Simon's left hand is grasping the lower arm of the man holding the torch. When the camera changes angles, Simon's left hand is suddenly grasping the man's shoulder. (02:18:37)
Continuity mistake: When Killian is getting buried and Simon tries to stop it, the man holding the torch says "He didn't respect our laws" to Simon. In this shot, the man is looking at Simon, but when the shot cuts, he is looking at Killian. (02:18:40)
Continuity mistake: When Julia is about to leave her home, as she says "This is my home", Killian places his hand on her shoulder. When the camera changes angles, his hand has suddenly moved to her upper back. (02:21:24)
Continuity mistake: When Basila sees Killian at Julia's home, she begins walking over to him. She has baby Laha lying on her shoulder, who is shown looking off to the right. When it cuts to a wide shot, Laha is suddenly looking at Killian. (02:23:12)
Continuity mistake: When Killian and Basila are attempting to make their way through the crowd at the port, there is a shot from behind the two where they are shown side-by-side. When the camera cuts to an angle in front of them, Killian has suddenly rotated 90° in between shots. (02:24:50)
Continuity mistake: When Killian and Basila are standing on the beach preparing for their wedding ceremony, Basila spreads paint over Killian's neck, shoulder and arms. In the shot where she says "It's not valid before the law", there is some paint on Killian's cheek and it is mixed in with the paint on his neck. When the shot cuts, the only paint on his cheek is a tiny smear, and it is completely separate from the paint on his neck. (02:30:02)
Continuity mistake: Just after Basila smears the paint over Killian's face, in the shot where he says "It's what I want", some of the paint can be seen on his left cheek. A couple seconds later, in the shot where Basila says "Then I must talk first", the paint on his left cheek, as well as some of the paint on the side of his face, has decreased. Continuity mistake: When Simon is about to take a photo of Killian, Basila, Iniko and Laha, in the shot where Simon says "Let's take a photo", the camera is lowered slightly away from his face. When the shot cuts to a different angle, the camera is raised to be level with his face. (02:32:07)
