Revealing mistake: After Pola Ivanova sneaks out of the baths, she climbs into the car with General Gogol, who can be seen to be a double and not Walter Gotell. (01:07:20)
Factual error: While Stacy is driving her jeep across the bridge after leaving her workplace, she is listening to the smog report on the radio. The Bay Area does not have smog reports on the radio because they don't get smog (well, at least in 1985). (01:10:05)
Revealing mistake: When Bond climbs the stairs to Stacey's bedroom in her mansion, the banister moves when he puts his hand on it. (01:11:15)
Visible crew/equipment: When Bond reaches the top of the stairs after sneaking into Stacey's mansion, you can see a boom mic in the mirror behind him. (01:11:40)
Revealing mistake: When Bond kicks the thug in the face during the attack on Stacey's mansion, you can see that Bond is not Roger Moore but his stunt double. (01:12:45)
Revealing mistake: When Bond pushes on of the man that is attacking the house, you can see that the bannister is pre-cut and the parts are attached with some kind of hooks. (01:13:00)
Continuity mistake: When the thug is knocked through the bannister he grabs the chandelier with two hands next to each other. As we see him swinging a second later his hands are spread apart. (01:13:05)
Continuity mistake: When one of Zorin's thugs pulls the shotgun out of Bond's hand at Stacey's mansion, you can see that Stacey is standing directly behind Bond on the staircase, but in the next shot she has now moved a few steps further up. (01:13:20)
Continuity mistake: When Zorin's men attacks Stacey's house, she throws a jar at one of them. A huge part stays on his head and he doesn't remove it when he escapes with the other. When Stacey is taking the broken parts on the floor, you can see that same huge part. At the place it is on the floor, the man had to put it gently on the floor, something he didn't. (01:13:40)
Continuity mistake: When Stacey hits the thug over the head with the vase during the attack on her mansion, she puts her left hand to her mouth and you can see she is holding the lid sideways, but when we see Stacey in the next shot, the lid is now pointing straight up. (01:13:40)
Visible crew/equipment: When the thugs' limousine departs after the attack on Stacey's house, a boom mic is reflected on the side windows. (01:13:50)
Other mistake: Stacey says to Bond that the jar she throws on one of the men that attacked her house contained the ashes of her grandfather. There's actually nothing in the jar. (01:14:20)
Continuity mistake: At Stacey's house, Bond is sleeping with the gun in his lap. When Stacey enters with breakfast, the gun has changed position and he is now holding it upright. (01:18:00)
Character mistake: When Bond and Stacey are in the file room in San Francisco City Hall, Bond pulls out the Division of Mines Paperwork on Zorin's wells and it has "HAYWOOD" written across it. The actual fault is spelled "HAYWARD." (01:21:40)
Continuity mistake: When Bond and Stacey are in Mr Howe's office at San Francisco City Hall after being captured by Zorin and May Day, Mr Howe asks Zorin what Bond and Stacey have done and May Day is holding Bond's gun in her right hand and has left hand in her coat pocket. When we see a close-up of Zorin and May Day in the next shot, May Day's left hand is now under her right wrist. (01:23:20)
Revealing mistake: When Zorin shoots Mr Howe dead in his office at San Francisco City Hall, you can see that Mr Howe has a bullet effect pack visible under his shirt. (01:23:40)
