Continuity mistake: When Cliff is talking to George who says he wants to sleep to not bother Squeaky, George has both hands over his tummy, fingers crossed. A shot later his left arm is suddenly by his side.
Visible crew/equipment: When Rick returns to his caravan after he made a bad impression on the set, as he blames himself for not be able to remember the lines and saying: "You seemed like a f****ng baboon" a shadow of someone moving appears for an instant on the board of the table in front of him on left side of the screen.
Continuity mistake: When Rick meets with Schwarz they have drinks on the table then don't, then do again.

Plot hole: Manson is able to walk right up to the Polanski residence door, but Sharon's girlfriend and Rick Dalton are prevented because there is a security gate.
Factual error: Rick Dalton, relaxing on a float in his swimming pool, tunes his radio to 93 FM. A KHJ jingle is heard but KHJ was 930 AM. The station at 93.1 FM in 1969 was KNX-FM.
Other mistake: Rick Dalton's Cadillac has a badly worn steering wheel. In 1969, the car was not old enough to have had that much wear. It should have been painted.
Factual error: When Cliff is driving back to his trailer at night, he drives past a lit Subway restaurant sign. The first Subway on the West Coast did not open until 1978 in Fresno.
Factual error: On the Hollywood 101 freeway, concrete "K" rails can be seen in the center divider. In 1969, the older steel rails were still in use in California.
Continuity mistake: When Rick is talking to the girl on-set, he's smoking. A couple of times his hand is up in one angle, then immediately down in the next, then back.
Factual error: The Karmann Ghia that was used had chrome steel wheels, not a factory option even on U.S. spec models.
Suggested correction: It is said in the specials, that stuntmen in that time loved chrome wheels. So it need not be a factory option.
Other mistake: George is blind but when talking to Cliff and telling Cliff he is touched that he came by to visit, George hits Cliff's left shoulder with his fist, a nice direct hit.
Factual error: Pandora's Box is shown as part of a driving montage, but Pandora's Box was demolished in 1967, two years before the 1969 setting of the movie.
Continuity mistake: Just before Rick's appearance on The FBI is shown, Rick is holding a cigarette in his left hand and a can in his right hand. It then cuts to Rick pointing at the TV, and the cigarette and can are both in his right hand.
Continuity mistake: When director Sam Wannamaker is talking to Rick, who is sitting in the makeup chair, Rick's hair goes from loosely hanging down on his forehead to suddenly being neatly slicked all the way back without it having been touched.
Factual error: The Manson Girls are dumpster diving a Super A grocery store, in 1969, bu the chain did not open until 1971.
Continuity mistake: When Rick scorches the Nazis, the ones behind the table raise their hands and aim their guns. Shot changes, and they're in the previous position, reading a map. Then the one on the right aims his gun, shot changes and his hands are back to lowered, and he's starting to aim his gun again.
Continuity mistake: When the Bounty Law credits disappear there's a man with his right leg over his left. Shot changes and now it's the left leg over the right.
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Cliff's tire gets slashed at Spawn Ranch, and he punches the hippie, crew can be seen in the horse corral behind Cliff in the background. The crew can be seen 3 times.
Revealing mistake: At one point when Cliff is driving the Coupe the ignition key which is located on the upper dashboard is in the off position.
