Factual error: Twice in the movie a Jumbo Jet (a Boeing 747) from Pan Am appears. The movie is set in 1969, when that plane had its maiden journey, but it wasn't flown commercially until 1970.
Factual error: As someone already noted, the Boeing 747 didn't enter commercial service until 1970. In addition, the Pan Am 747 type shown flying the characters back to the U.S. never existed. It has the extended upper deck common to the 747-300 and -400 series (introduced in the 1980's) but with only three windows (common to some -100 and -200 types). Also it has higher bypass engines which came later.

Factual error: In the part where Sharon Tate goes to the theater to see her own movie, while showing the box office, you can see a modern dome security camera in the box office/ticket taking booth.
Factual error: Pitt rides a triumph motorcycle which has a disk brake fitted to the front wheel. Disk brakes were not released on the market, for any motorcycle manufacturer until 1973. This film is set in 1969. The motorcycle would have been fitted with a drum front brake.
Factual error: A Starbucks sign is in the background when Sharon Tate is talking to the girl at the front of the movie theater; this scene takes place in February 1969, and Starbucks did not exist at all until 1971 and had no locations in Southern California until the 1990s.
Factual error: Rick Dalton, relaxing on a float in his swimming pool, tunes his radio to 93 FM. A KHJ jingle is heard but KHJ was 930 AM. The station at 93.1 FM in 1969 was KNX-FM.
Factual error: When Cliff is driving back to his trailer at night, he drives past a lit Subway restaurant sign. The first Subway on the West Coast did not open until 1978 in Fresno.
Factual error: On the Hollywood 101 freeway, concrete "K" rails can be seen in the center divider. In 1969, the older steel rails were still in use in California.
Factual error: The Karmann Ghia that was used had chrome steel wheels, not a factory option even on U.S. spec models.
Suggested correction: It is said in the specials, that stuntmen in that time loved chrome wheels. So it need not be a factory option.
Factual error: Pandora's Box is shown as part of a driving montage, but Pandora's Box was demolished in 1967, two years before the 1969 setting of the movie.
Factual error: The Manson Girls are dumpster diving a Super A grocery store, in 1969, bu the chain did not open until 1971.
Factual error: Cliff is shown drinking a Coors Light in his trailer but Coors Light didn't come out until 1978 and the movie takes place in 1969.

Factual error: The Cielo address is mentioned in the movie as being in Hollywood. It was actually in the Benedict Canyon section of Beverly Hills, several miles away from Hollywood.
Factual error: In the beginning of the film, an aerial shot shows Cliff and Rick pulling out of a studio parking lot. The lines in the lot are yellow double lines between spaces. They didn't use that type of striping in parking lots in the 1960's. The parking lot striping was white with single stripes in between spaces.
Factual error: Sharon Tate walks past a theater sign that shows the film Pendulum is playing. This movie is set in February of 1969, but that movie did not come out in the US until March of 1969.
