Continuity mistake: Just after Tony returns to Earth, Pepper approaches Tony and starts to hug him. In the shot focusing on Tony, his chin is shown pressed against her shoulder, and then he lightly closes his eyes. When it cuts to a shot with Steve in the frame, Tony's eyes are more clenched shut and his face is more pressed against her shoulder. (00:09:24)
Continuity mistake: When Tony and Pepper hug after reuniting on Earth, Pepper's hair is resting against her back. The camera changes angles and there is suddenly a huge lock of hair going over her right shoulder and down the back of it. (00:09:24)
Continuity mistake: When the Avengers are discussing where Thanos might be, Steve tells Tony that he fought him. In the shot where Tony says "Who told you that", his right hand is holding onto the robe he is wearing. The camera changes angles and his right hand is now shown touching the table. It then cuts back to Tony, where his right hand is touching the robe again. (00:10:39)
Continuity mistake: When Tony takes off the Nano Arc Reactor and places it on Steve's hand, he drops to the ground. Captain Marvel is shown in the back of shot, raising her hands slightly as if she is preparing to catch him. It then cuts to a wide shot where her hands are suddenly at ease. (00:12:15)
Continuity mistake: When Thanos is being questioned about where the stones are, Captain Marvel has her arm wrapped around his neck in a headlock and War Machine is holding onto his right arm. Just as Bruce goes to push Thanos over, both Captain Marvel and War Machine suddenly do not have their hands on him. There is no reason that they would have let go of him. Nor would there have been enough time for them to let go of him in between shots. (00:18:10)
Other mistake: When Thanos gets pushed over by Bruce, he is shown turning his head to the right whilst on the ground and tells the Avengers they should be grateful. Whilst Thanos was being pushed over in the previous shot, all of the Avengers in the room were shown standing several meters in front of him. If Thanos was lying on the ground with the Avengers standing several meters ahead of him and he was looking to his right, then he would have been looking at the wall and not the Avengers. (00:18:10)
Other mistake: When the remaining Avengers confront Thanos in his compound, Bruce, in the Hulkbuster armour, pushes Thanos to the ground, and lands several meters away from where Bruce is standing. Thanos then gets punched by Bruce, who is standing directly in front of him. There are no footsteps heard of Bruce approaching Thanos before punching him. Bruce was standing a visible distance from Thanos when he pushed him and they are all standing on a wooden floor. No way would Bruce have been able to run up to Thanos without making any audible footsteps before punching him, especially with the huge Hulkbuster armour he is wearing. (00:18:10)
Other mistake: Scott arrives in the park and sees hundreds of memorials listing people who were killed by Thanos. In the first close-up shot shown of one of the memorials, the name Norbert Lamey can be seen five rows from the top on the right hand side. The camera then pans to Scott walking in front of the memorial to the right of it. The name Norbert Lamey can be seen repeated on the opposite side of the memorial Scott stands in front of. Continuity mistake: When Scott is explaining the Quantum Realm to Steve and Nat, he begins eating a sandwich that he is holding in his right hand. It then cuts to a different angle where the sandwich is in his left hand. (00:32:00)
Continuity mistake: When Tony begins to walk back to his house carrying his daughter, he is holding the Iron Man helmet he made for Pepper, by the top of it. In the next shot, he is suddenly holding the side of the helmet. (00:33:55)
Continuity mistake: When the three kids approach Bruce in the diner, Scott is in the corner of the frame with his right arm resting against the seat he is sitting on. The camera changes angles where his right hand is suddenly being moved away from his face, despite not being near his face in the previous shot. (00:37:45)
Continuity mistake: When Bruce hands the phone over to Scott so that he can take his photo with the three kids, Scott takes the phone and initially holds it with two hands. It then cuts to a wide shot of Scott beginning to stand, where the phone is now only in his right hand. (00:37:55)
Continuity mistake: In the Hulk scene at the diner, once Scott takes the picture of the kids, in the frontal shots he is holding the phone with his right hand and hands it to them, while the reverse shots don't match - egregiously noticeable when he says "I don't want a picture with them" waving an empty right hand. (00:38:05)
Continuity mistake: While Hulk eats breakfast with Cap, Nat and Scott, the crepe on the top is cut in two. In the next shot it's in one piece, then in two again. (00:38:30)
Suggested correction: The crepe is cut in two in every scene. The angle in the middle scene, does not show the cut as prominently as the first and last scene.
The mistake is valid. It's after the kids wanting the picture are leaving that you see the crepe is intact. You see the crepe from the same camera angle when the Hulk agrees to the picture and it's in half. In fact, in the shot of the crepe intact, it's completely differently coloring with less browning spots, so it's a different prop altogether.
Continuity mistake: When they are preparing the time machine in the van for the initial time travel test, Bruce tells Scott "We're good" giving him a thumbs up. Steve is standing behind Bruce on his right. The camera then cuts to an angle from behind them where Steve is suddenly standing on Bruce's left. Then in the following shot, Steve is back to standing on Bruce's right. This happens again when Scott goes into the Quantum Realm. (00:43:54)
Continuity mistake: When Tony gets to the Avengers facility and talks with Steve, the sun on the floor changes between shots. (00:45:50)
Continuity mistake: When Scott's taco gets blown out of his hand by the ship, there is a cup on the bench beside him. A few seconds later when Rhodes arrives, the cup has disappeared. Bruce then approaches the bench and the cup has reappeared on the floor beneath it. (00:48:15)
Continuity mistake: When Rocket and Nebula land on Earth, as Rocket is asking Scott where "Big Green" is, Scott is holding a taco shell in his right arm that is raised slightly above his knee. It then cuts to Nebula walking past him, where Scott's right arm is suddenly resting on his knee. (00:48:15)
Factual error: New Asgard is in Tonsberg, Norway, but was filmed in Scotland. The truck Hulk and Rocket use to get there has a UK licence plate (SW61 5PN), whereas Norwegian plates use two letters followed by 4 or 5 numbers. Plus the pizza boxes in Thor's house have a phone number in UK format (01632 960776) not Norwegian. In fact, the 01632 area code is specifically designated for fictional use in the UK. Norwegian telephone numbers use fewer digits. (00:48:50)
Continuity mistake: When Bruce and Rocket are at Thor's house in New Asgard, Thor asks them "What's up? You here for a hang, or what" and takes a drink from a bottle of beer. In the shot focusing on Thor, he is shown holding the bottle near the top. When it cuts to Bruce, he is holding bottle nearer to the bottom. (00:51:49)
