Corrected entry: In the scene with the boat on fire Mitch says "When I say so, make a hard, left turn. 3, 2, 1, GO!", and they make a right hand turn. (00:40:30)
Correction: He does say hard right turn. It sounds a little like left due to the other noise but its definitely a right turn he says to make.
Corrected entry: Mitch is wearing Captain's bars at the party when he is a lieutenant.
Correction: The original mistake stands. Mitch is a Lieutenant but is wearing Captain's bars. Baywatch is (extremely) loosely based on the Los Angeles County Lifeguards, which is part of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Their ranks include Lieutenant and Captain with single and double bars respectively (and they have other uniforms with no rank or different rank insignia). Like other emergency services, they use ranks and insignia with historical links to the military but there are no direct comparisons even if the ranks have the same names and badges.
Correction: In the navy, that is a lieutenant.
True but lifeguard isn't a navy rank.
Correction: In the Marine Corps, that's a captain as well.
Correction: I agree with the correction, Mitch says, "Hard right turn."
