Visible crew/equipment: After Andrew and Inspector Doppler leave the mound of dirt and reenter the house, the camera moves to take a shot of Milo's car, which is partly hidden in greenery. As the camera closes in on and remains focused on the car, its shadow also moves onto and remains on the car. (01:29:20)
Continuity mistake: When Lawrence Olivier and Michael Caine are playing snooker, Olivier pots the black. There is then a wide shot, with the black visible again on its spot. The next shot is a close up of Olivier picking the black ball from the pocket and replacing it on the table.
Andrew Wyke: Whether I love her or not, I found her. I've kept her. She represents me. Once, she was in love with me.
Milo Tindle: And now she's in love with me. And you can't forgive that.
Trivia: Marguerite Wyke was "played" by Joanne Woodward, the wife of Paul Newman. Woodward's likeness was used for Andrew's painting of Marguerite, and the actress listed as playing her was a fictional name.
