Continuity mistake: The mailbox is roughly parallel to Richard's SUV but is more perpendicular when he looks at the address number, then it is back to parallel. (00:06:40)
Continuity mistake: Stan (Grandpa) gets impaled in his upper left arm by the metal jack part. The front of his jersey's short sleeve is saturated with blood, almost to the orange stripe near his shoulder. Helen goes to see her dad's injury, and Stan's upper shirt sleeve and shoulder are free of blood, but the lower part and his arm are covered. (00:12:09)
Continuity mistake: After Ross is shot, he lies on the pavement with his head to the left of the white line, but later his head is to the right of the white line. (His body would not be rotated 180° by police.) His head is on the white line in between this discrepancy. (00:06:38 - 00:09:30)
Continuity mistake: When ladybug is sitting at the table with Lemon, and they start fighting over the pistol, Brad Pitt drops the gun's magazine out of the tub onto the floor. In the subsequent shuffle you see the bottom of the gun with a magazine still in it and immediately cut to it on the floor. The next shot after he grabs the magazine off the floor you see the gun with no magazine. (00:40:20)
Continuity mistake: The handcuff around Ava's right wrist looks loose enough for her to free herself simply by pulling her hand through it. In a later shot, the handcuff is closed almost against her skin. (00:54:30 - 01:00:39)
Continuity mistake: Laura's hair was (flipped) above her shoulders when she brought Cody to school. When she was in her car, her hair was much longer, going at least a couple or few inches down her back. Laura's hair was back to its shorter length (above-the-shoulders) when she got to the typing room at work. (00:15:44 - 00:16:06)
Continuity mistake: The sky (sun versus clouds and color - blue, white, or gray) changes frequently during the few minutes when Lara is leaving the site until she returns to retrieve her bag. Before she falls into the hole, the sun is shown near the horizon, about to set, but the sun is shining on her in the hole. A setting sun would not be able to emit rays into a distant hole. Continuity mistake: While the 2 main characters are playing pool the balls keep changing position and so does the cue chalk. (00:14:00 - 00:17:00)
Continuity mistake: The amount of Kyle's facial hair changes (i.e, grows too much/fast) from the beginning of the scene when he is on the rock talking to Jaelyn to the end of the scene when he is standing in the water. Kyle's facial hair is back to its lesser amount when he is in the villa; it isn't clear how much time has passed, but it doesn't appear to be much. (00:17:06 - 00:20:28)
Continuity mistake: Travis rearranged a photo on the desk, setting it partially in front of the box and the two pictures were a few inches apart. The next wide view showed the corner of the picture almost aligned with the box or slightly behind it and the two pictures were now almost touching. Continuity mistake: The "Santa" carrying the Molotov Cocktail walked up the steps and past the decorated handrail, but he was standing within the length of the handrail (about mid-way) when the camera shifted from the right-rear to left-rear side. (00:02:40)
Continuity mistake: The amount of alcohol in the glasses changes. Most noticeable is Senator Mathis' glass going from about 1" to at least twice as much when he got up to leave. (00:06:32 - 00:06:57)
Continuity mistake: The clock on the wall behind Casey jumped from 10:45 to 11:00 while he was talking to his wife and daughter. At times, the clock appeared to have 3-4 hands and when a hand should have been visible behind his back pointing at "12", no hands could be seen. (00:19:16 - 00:19:46)
Continuity mistake: The clock on the wall at Pee Wee's Pawn Shop advanced from about 12:00 to 12:05 when Frank was talking to Jerry, but it was back to around 12:01 after a few camera shifts. (00:05:59 - 00:06:24)
Continuity mistake: Ron (dad) brings Amanda her dinner. He carries a bowl approximately centered on a square plate. He quickly sets the plate on the table, so does not have time to adjust the position of the bowl. Ron walks away and the bowl is to the far side of the plate, and there are crackers filling the remaining space on the other side. (00:01:20 - 00:01:57)
Continuity mistake: The street view/scenery when Emily is walking down the road outside of her new apartment becomes quite different when the camera shifts to an aerial view (showing more cars and buildings, fewer trees along the right side of the road, and mountains in the distance instead of the nearby ocean). Continuity mistake: The striped pillow to the left of the screen (behind Nick's beer) is upright, but lowers in the next view. Nobody is near the pillow to move it or push it down. (00:12:36)
Continuity mistake: When Natasha joined Jimmy at the table in the restaurant, there was a plastic bottle of ketchup to the right of their drinks. When the waitress came to their table, the bottle of ketchup was gone. A napkin holder, previously barely visible, was now between their drinks. Continuity mistake: The views of Pinero's dead "trophy wife" from opposite sides of the bed were not consistent. From Seth's view, Pinero's wife was lying mostly on her right side with her hair covering her head/neck but otherwise not visible, and her right arm extended outward from her waist area. From the other side of the bed, Pinero's wife's long wavy hair was over her left breast and should have been visible from Seth's position but was not.
