Continuity mistake: In Central Park before meeting the toaster client, Peter Sarsgaard in the close-up has 2 tuning forks in his right hand and one in the left, but in the wider shot he has two in his left and one in his right as he picks up the mallet. (00:07:10)
Continuity mistake: The way Linda holds her coffee cup changes numerous times, often instantly with front versus rear views. The handle switches (changes 90° or 180°) from facing towards her chest to her left knee to opposite her chest while holding the cup between her bent knees, which vary in distance apart. The cup is held a few inches above, below, or about even with her kneecaps. (00:44:35 - 00:48:23)
Continuity mistake: The clock at the Ford pit shows 05:09 during the phone call and 00:53 (can't see it exactly because it is too blurry) in the next shot, when the mechanic holds the sign EZ Miles. (01:56:10)
Continuity mistake: When Aunt Sarah arrives, she dumps her luggage in the hands of Jim and then passes him to his right, leaving him between herself and the door. In the reverse shot, Jim is on the opposite side. (00:29:15)
Continuity mistake: Richard is eating a donut at the end. He takes several bites from it. After the FBI leaves and Richard has read the note, the donut is largely intact again.
Continuity mistake: During Stella and Will's walk, Will's scarf was consistently wrapped one time around his neck, but the length of his scarf on either side varied. The right side was usually much longer than the left side, but the ends were about even other times. When Will was lying in the snow, the scarf ends were almost equal (reaching about half-way down his coat); when he stood up, the ends were far apart. After he fell in the snow, Will got up and adjusted the scarf ends to be about the same in length. (01:25:35 - 01:29:30)
Continuity mistake: In church, Mrs. Smith was seated at the aisle, John was to her right, and Mr. Smith was next to John. After John stood up, he was standing next to the aisle and his mother was not there. In a wide view two seconds later, Mrs. Smith is sitting next to the aisle and John and Mr. Smith are to her right again. Also, when John was standing at the aisle, he was very close to the pews on the opposite side, but when Mrs. Smith was sitting next to the aisle, the aisle was about three times as wide. Continuity mistake: In the sequence with the pigeon that tries to topple the severed hand off the gutter, twigs are right next to its fingers or not, depending from the angle. (00:06:35)
Continuity mistake: Barney, Jim, and Angus enter a hallway that has a few lamps setting atop dresser drawers or tables. There are two lamps closest to the door; Angus stops after the first two lamps. When the camera shifts to a close-up, the hallway wall behind the lamp is no longer straight. Instead, there is an indentation (short wall) behind the lamp and the first lamp is not visible. Also, Angus becomes taller than the lamp in the close-up. (00:40:27)
Continuity mistake: Mario was chewing a mouthful, then lifted his drink to wash down the food, but when the camera shifted, he was back to chewing a mouthful. (00:01:59)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the two knights are walking across the courtyard to get on their horses. When they mention the falcons' names, a young lady wearing an orange striped cape curtsies before them in passing. A couple seconds later during the close-up of girls ogling them from distance, the same lady passes in the foreground, coming from the opposite direction and in a totally different spot. (00:00:55)
Continuity mistake: Packets of Synchronic were placed on top of the garbage already in the can and were inconsistent from one shot to another. Also, the amount of crumbled papers under the Synchronic decreased. (It is also interesting that no new garbage was placed in the can on top of the Synchronic packets even though over one day had passed).
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the waitress notices that Emilio for the first time in years has not completed his Sudoku yet. The sequence begins with her stopping by him and waving her hand, upturned, but the hand is then on his shoulder. She repeats the gesture at the cut. (00:01:50)
Continuity mistake: When Hodaka first fires his gun whilst being threatened by the man, the shell casing lands on the ground beside him, right next to his head. A couple seconds later, when Hina goes to help him up so they can run off together, the shell casing has vanished from the ground. (00:22:06)
Continuity mistake: After the intro, the protagonist receives a phone call from her sister. When she turns around to check out of the TV screen, one of her fellow swimmers, with quite characteristic purple hair, is immediately seen sitting down. Back to the view from inside the locker, the same aubergine-haired girl is coming from the lockers to the benches, to go sit. (00:03:45)
