Factual error: A few scenes in the movie show Roman cavalrymen using stirrups, which were not used by the Romans until several centuries later.
Plot hole: The system providing oxygen can only be accessed by someone slim. Therefore John Goodman built the bunker with him unable to access the key facility that provides oxygen in his bunker. Yet he must have been able to go and get Britney when she went to that area?
Suggested correction: It's not a plot hole because he said in the film, the normal hatch to the air filtration was blocked by something that fell on top so they couldn't get through that way.
Other mistake: When Helen Mirren and Will Smith are standing on the subway platform and the scene cuts away to view them from the other side, we see them through the windows of a passing train. Dame Helen suddenly gets out of character and hastily answers her cell phone. She was playing a "spirit" on behalf of Will - not someone who'd have a phone. (01:04:00)
Factual error: The main character is being wooed by Lockheed - an aircraft company, whose representative then gives him gifts for his kids - one of which is a desk model of an aircraft, however it is of an aircraft produced by one of Lockheed's competitors - Grumman, which would be akin to a GM rep giving a toy Ford Mustang as a gift. Both companies continue to remain competitors as Lockheed-Martin and Northrop-Grumman since the government vetoed a proposed merger back in 1998, and at no time have the two companies collaborated on a major project.
Continuity mistake: The wounds that Juda got on his face from the fall from the horse at the beginning of the film, disappear the very same day.
Factual error: Jackie is handling medication vials and taking a pill. Some of the vials have childproof "palm and twist" caps, but they were not invented until 1967. (00:48:00 - 00:49:00)
Revealing mistake: Towards the end of the movie, the principal puts on his hat which turns his hair green. But you can see the green paint has already been applied before he puts his hat on.
Continuity mistake: When Kurt and Kavi are washing clothes, the clothes change position on the line, specifically the red shirt at the end and the shorts Kavi hangs up. The red shirt is twisted around the line, but in the shot of Kavi hanging the shorts, the shirt is hanging perfectly straight down.
Continuity mistake: Maureen spent the first night in the spooky house, without conclusive results. They are meeting the prospect buyers in a bar. When Lara walks up to them and begins the conversation, the arm position of the man changes wildly between shots several times at every cut. (00:08:40)
Continuity mistake: After their fight with the monkey Sara has some scratches on her forehead and cheekbone but when she gets to the castle with Freya they are gone.
Audio problem: The chef finally gets the bright idea to fire his hunting rifle at Morgan's fleeing vehicle. In a previous scene he was grabbing ammunition for his rifle, and he also loaded it. The rounds appeared to be high power rifle ammo, probably in the 7mm Remington magnum or .30-06 range, very common hunting rounds. When he fires his rifle it sounds quieter than a suppressed shot, however he has no suppressor on the muzzle end of his weapon. (01:09:20)
Factual error: In the Templehoff Airport flyover scene there are Soviet era Antonov An-12 propeller driven aircraft on the tarmac. These were first used by the Soviets in 1953.
Factual error: During the scene when Ed the I.T. guy is working on his laptop to fix the problem with the presentation, his laptop is sitting on top of a couple of Cisco network switches with cables connected to them. The ports on the front of the switch where the cables are plugged in would have flashing lights on to show power and connectivity, as well as lights on the left-hand side of the device as we are looking at it, no lights are present which suggests it is not powered up and connected to anything. Other mistake: Daniel Blake in the first minutes of the movie is at the hospital taking an echocardiogram. On screen you can see the date of the test; 20/10/2015, so he took it on the 20th of October. The day goes on with Daniel visiting his coworkers, then he is at home, with BBC Radio Four saying it's twelve to 1:00 and broadcasting the first shipping forecast of the day for "Tuesday the 20th." Continuity mistake: When they are at Sarah's house, the boy's father tells her to go outside and ask Lucas to pull the van around back. When Sarah walks to talk to Lucas her long braided hair is tucked into her shirt and her arms are crossed. In the next shot when the camera comes back, her hair is on the outside of her shirt despite her arms still being crossed. (00:45:55)
Continuity mistake: When Gina and James visit her sister, Gina sits down at the table with the family. Then in a close up with James and Ramon, Gina walks into the same room she should already be sitting in. (00:48:30)
Continuity mistake: The chef at the airport stabs someone, but the knife blade is clean afterwards; moments later he stabs it through the valise, and it is covered in blood.
Factual error: When Steve Carell is telling his nephew Jesse Eisenberg that he is leaving his wife, the view from his 1930s era Hollywood Hills home shows the modern skyscraper-filled LA downtown skyline.
