Factual error: At the beginning of the film, as Rudolf Abel is trying to evade the FBI, he gets on the subway. It's 1957 but the subway train he's in is a model that wasn't produced until 1964.

Factual error: Towards the end of the film, where St. John is trying to escape with Kim in his private jet, they are apparently attempting to take off from Santa Monica airport. When the camera shows the aircraft beginning its take off roll, the runway markings show that they are using runway 05L to take off from, however, the two runways available at Santa Monica airport are 03 and 21. Factual error: In the early part of the movie, there is a shot of the outside of Triple O's bar. The scene takes place in 1975 and "Coors" is advertised on the outside of the bar. Coors beer was not available in Boston/East Coast in 1975. It was only available from the 1980's.

Factual error: The film is set in Nairobi. It's all wrong, from the local language, not using Swahili, the car registration numbers are the wrong format, Kenya plates are like British, yellow at the back, not white. The skyline is wrong, and the drone view of the city map is wrong, the golf course is not the correct layout.

Factual error: The exterior shots of Rusty's plane show a Boeing 777, a modern twin-engine widebody with a distinctive square tail (and glass display panels in the cockpit). The cockpit interior scenes shows a mishmash most closely resembling a vintage 727, with three columns of individual gauges for each of the three engines, among other details, including small "eyebrow" windows above the main windshields. Later Rusty says he flies an Airbus A318, which is totally different from either Boeing.

Factual error: During the 4x4 chase across the island, the Land Rover used is a modern variant, not in production in 1963.

Factual error: During the Mike Webster autopsy, Dr Omalu asks Gracie for Mike's CT Scan of the brain again, but what she holds up is a MRI film, not CT. Whereas the MRI shown by Gracie reveals several abnormalities like brain atrophy and degeneration due to complications of previous disease process. (00:27:45 - 00:28:30)

Factual error: The bed in the "Haberdashery" has a box spring under the mattress. Referring to a "History of Bedding": "By 1927...box springs with ticking covers were still new." Having one in this time and remote location would have been impossible.

Factual error: The 'Post Office' is nothing like an English one would have been, even in a remote rural location in Victorian times. It seems to have been transposed from the American Wild West.

Factual error: The battery of the electronic goggles used by Gray should be dead after 20 years. (01:09:30)

Factual error: The year is 1952. In an exterior scene, Saoirse Ronan is seen on a street in Brooklyn. In the far background, a red "WALK/DON'T WALK" sign is flashing. This type of sign was only introduced across NY in the late 50s.

Factual error: After the Scarlet Witch forces Banner to become Hulk, he goes berserk in Johannesburg, South Africa. A few minutes earlier they were near the ocean at a ship scrap yard. Johannesburg is many kilometres away from any ocean.

Factual error: There seem to be modern "Walk" and "Don't Walk" signs at each intersection. This film is supposed to take place in 1952. Also it is mentioned there are "Stereophonic" consoles in the motel rooms. Probably would not find those until at best the late 50s.

Factual error: When they show the map of Copenhagen, they show Poland, Germany and UK in the far back, however the map is pointed north, so that should be Norway and possibly Sweden, neither of which are actually visible on the map. (01:28:30)

Factual error: SpongeBob and Plankton are told to supervise the universe for Bubbles while he goes on a bathroom break. This results in Jupiter and Saturn colliding with each other. Saturn is depicted as much smaller in relation to Jupiter than it is in reality. Also, the effect of their collision is inaccurate since both planets are mainly made up of gas. (00:44:50)

Factual error: In the 1998 part of the movie, before the launch of the iMac, Steve is wearing his trademark black turtleneck and jeans for the presentation. At the actual launch in 1998, Steve wore a suit.

Factual error: Nux fills the bottom of his car with petrol then lights a flare but nothing happens - the fuel should have ignited from the fumes being given off, it wouldn't need to come in contact with the liquid directly. The driver is sitting in a confined space with windows and doors shut when he lights the flare and we see the petrol sloshing about the floor of the car about an inch deep and fumes rise upwards to where the flare is.
