Factual error: When Rosie calls Big Al's number, she gives his address as 41 Ocean Avenue in Howard Beach, Queens. Ocean Avenue runs from Prospect Park to Sheepshead Bay, entirely in Brooklyn, and does not enter Howard Beach. (01:05:00)
Factual error: In the rat revival scene, Dr. Terra Wade, an electrophysiologist, demands that the other scientist, Dr. Bell increase the current, going as high as 200 joules. However, current is measured in amperes (amps), joules is a unit of energy.
Factual error: The corpse's head in the cafe changes position between shots. (00:34:00 - 00:35:00)
Continuity mistake: When Max is on the train, after finding out about the stitcher, he's next to a poster ad that has people in it. After the shot of the couple kissing, the poster ad has changed to just having words on it. The person standing next to the seats changes too, and then in the final shot is gone. (00:21:55)
Factual error: At the diner scene at the Gimli Slider, there's an ashtray with a lit cigarette on the table. Manitoba has had a smoking ban in all enclosed public spaces for over a decade.
Continuity mistake: After Aaron extracts the capsule out of his butt, when he shows it to Dave he is either holding it pointed upwards or horizontally, depending on the shot.
Other mistake: The size of Dave's sub is too small for all the rooms it contains especially the cargo hold with hundreds of penguins and cages.
Continuity mistake: Just before seeing Principle Celestia, and they are walking down the hallway, the cutie mark on Sunset's shirt disappears.
Continuity mistake: When Justin is disguised with the dread locks, one of the body guards gets into a fight with him. Justin is punched hard in the face in slow motion, the impact of the fist shown to hit below Justin's cheek on his jaw. Yet the next day Justin has a huge red mark above his cheek on his temple.
Factual error: The movie is set in 1882, however there is a scene where he meets Doc Brown with his DeLorean. Back to the Future Part III took place in 1885.
Factual error: "Can't take my eyes off you" was released in May 1967. The recording scene of this song shows an Ampeg SVT amplifier in the background. Ampeg SVT was not available before 1969 and the specific model shown on the scene (with white rocker toggle) is a later 1976-1979 model. (01:54:10)
Plot hole: Towards the end the Rich Purgers call for reinforcements, and Shane, Leo, Eva and Cali are hiding behind a wall. A guy somehow opens a door in front of them (without being seen by the three facing him), exposes himself and shoots only Shane, numerous times, to cause his death. He should have been spotted by the people looking in his direction. Also, if he was that well hidden he could have simply sprayed the entire group. He unloaded 5 or 6 shots to Shane's chest...when he could have taken them all out.
Continuity mistake: When Will catches up with the others, the first shot shows him travelling in a Piper Cub, and the next in a Retractable Cessna. (01:09:50)
Continuity mistake: When the Dark Aster enters the atmosphere at the end of the film, its wings untwist as it descends, in most of the scenes afterwards and the hologram the ship's wings are still twisted, then later during the battle they untwist again.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Katniss has just come outside after the bombing on District 13 and there are white roses everywhere, she picks one up and it is closed and small, but then in the next shot the rose is very long and is opened. (01:22:40)
Continuity mistake: The girl that Jesse brought into the house, Penelope, was wearing a blue skirt with leggings when they arrived at the house. However when she walks around the corner to take off her shirt she comes back with just black leggings on.
Factual error: In the first scene of the film the girls are shown in a flashback playing with the Ouija board. When one of them holds the planchette up to the other one, the underside of it has text saying "© 2013" molded into the plastic, even though the scene is based years before that. (00:01:20)
Continuity mistake: Ben Bart passed away earlier in the film but can be seen dancing on stage with the character Gertrude, at a James Brown concert where he is performing "I Got Soul (Super Bad) ". (01:46:00)
Suggested correction: During that sequence, they intercut James in his gold jumpsuit, with long hanging-down hair, and James in a black-and-white checked vest, doing the same song. In the black-and-white vest era, Ben Bart is still alive, so the dancing could have been from that era.
While that does seem to be the case, it should be pointed out that Ben Bart died in 1968, but the song James Brown is singing, "Super Bad", was recorded in 1970.
Continuity mistake: While singing in a duet with Miss Piggy, CĂ©line Dion is wearing a dress with a strap over her right shoulder. Near the end of the song, the strap is suddenly on her left shoulder.
Factual error: The unit on Dusty's torque dial appears as FT/LB (i.e., FT divided by LB) which is incorrect. FT.LB (i.e., FT times LB) is a unit of torque.
