Continuity mistake: At the "written by" screen with Al Pacino and Christopher Walken meeting, the shadows of the building run perfectly parallel to the fence and through the whole length as far as it can be seen. The two exchange 30 seconds of dialogue and an awkward hug, and drive off. The shadows have changed entirely; they start about halfway at the gate, with an oblique angle. (00:04:05)
Continuity mistake: When Sam is preparing the milk shake for Charlie, the ice cream scoopfuls inside the blender change shapes from shot to shot.
Continuity mistake: The objects on the desk at Lax's interview with Herman change several times. Sometimes, the tripod is closer to the center of the desk, about a foot away from the file folder, but other times it is closer to where Lax is sitting and one leg is almost touching the folder. Continuity mistake: Throughout the film, John Travolta's hair changes back and forth and back and forth from being really really really short to just really short.
Continuity mistake: After Mike has set the tent up they go for a ride on their snowmobile to check the scenery out. They come uphill parking the snowmobile facing upwards. Continuity mistake: Hydell (the crazy brother) locks The Warden in the airlock. He begins to write "BI BI" in the condensation on the glass. The positioning of the letter 'I' in the first "BI" changes as the camera switches inside the airlock. It is now touching the first letter 'B'. Also the second letter 'B' is now much neater. Continuity mistake: The first time they go to the beach together, Alain is sleeping while Stephanie is swimming. When she wakes him up with her potent whistling, he has his hand on his belly that touches the bathing shorts'upper band in the first shot, but the hand is in a different position above his bellybutton in the wider angle. Continuity mistake: When the boy is shoveling all of the snow, he leaves foot prints from when he walked out the door. But in the shot just before he notices most of the snow has gone, all the foot prints have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: On "Ham Nite" The Pirate Captain starts doing his dance with a slice of ham on his sword. But by the time he does the splits, the slice of ham is no longer on his sword, but now on his plate. (00:03:50)
Continuity mistake: The alarm clock chimes; Juno Temple reaches up with her left hand, putting it on the upper part of the pillow. Michael Angarano crawls over her to turn the alarm off, but she's napping with her hand by her chin, on the bottom corner of the pillow. (00:02:40)
Continuity mistake: In the underground lab, Dr. Su offers to surgically remove the false memories he implanted in John's brain. He drills a half-inch hole in the right side of John's forehead, which leaves the right side of his face covered in flowing blood. John can't stand the pain, breaks free, and he goes on a rampage throughout the underground bunker, killing every UniSol in his path. As he fights his way through the bunker, the bleeding hole in John's head switches from the right side of his forehead to the left side, then back to the right side again. Also, in the last scene (an unspecified amount of time after the bunker brawl), John has no scar on his forehead at all.
