Continuity mistake: In one scene, the family is watching SpongeBob SquarePants. However, the first time the TV is shown, one episode is playing. The next time the TV is shown, a different episode is playing (with a time difference between the episodes that doesn't make sense). The episodes involved are "That's No Lady" and "No Weenies Allowed", but I don't remember which order they come in.
Continuity mistake: When Emily is standing in front of the swing, in a back view of her, her legs are close together, in her front view her legs are farther away.
Continuity mistake: His best selling novel changes in quantity on the shelf in his office. After he signs a copy for the officer they increase in number, and lean one way then the other.
Continuity mistake: In the scene after climbing out of the sealed room, the light on Guy Pearce's shoulder changes from the left to the right and back again.
Continuity mistake: When the dog comes in and takes Dale's hand the blonde woman's legs keep changing position. (00:47:00)
Continuity mistake: When the boy is shoveling all of the snow, he leaves foot prints from when he walked out the door. But in the shot just before he notices most of the snow has gone, all the foot prints have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: In the parking garage scene, when Lindsay initially parks the sign states "Reserved For Walter Deeds." When being towed his name on the sign disappears. (00:06:30 - 00:10:45)
Continuity mistake: After Mike has set the tent up they go for a ride on their snowmobile to check the scenery out. They come uphill parking the snowmobile facing upwards. They get up looking at the scenery, and a few shots later the snowmobile has suddenly turned 180 degrees facing downhill. (00:13:40)
Continuity mistake: In the underground lab, Dr. Su offers to surgically remove the false memories he implanted in John's brain. He drills a half-inch hole in the right side of John's forehead, which leaves the right side of his face covered in flowing blood. John can't stand the pain, breaks free, and he goes on a rampage throughout the underground bunker, killing every UniSol in his path. As he fights his way through the bunker, the bleeding hole in John's head switches from the right side of his forehead to the left side, then back to the right side again. Also, in the last scene (an unspecified amount of time after the bunker brawl), John has no scar on his forehead at all.
Continuity mistake: When Lauren gets asked to take her brother upstairs she is standing by the door. The camera cuts and she is leaning on the door frame. (00:13:30)
Continuity mistake: While he is copulating with Laurence, François Monge receives a phone call from his boss about the murder case in Bobigny. To shush his vocal partner, he gives her a slap on the shoulder, but he does it with the right hand in the view from behind, and the left hand in the full frontal. (00:08:55)
Continuity mistake: The German and British airmen are looking at the Northern lights. From the rear the men are apart, but the front shots of them show them much closer to each other.
Continuity mistake: When playing pool before discussing the papers the balls all change place instantly.
Continuity mistake: When the form falls onto the girl's face, the position of the form changes between shots. (00:00:35)
Continuity mistake: Dinner at Forestier's home, and Georges Duroy does not know which knife to use to eat. The asparagi in his plate are across the small pie in the wide shot, and in close-up they are arranged entirely on the side without his intervention. (00:08:20)
Continuity mistake: On "Ham Nite" The Pirate Captain starts doing his dance with a slice of ham on his sword. But by the time he does the splits, the slice of ham is no longer on his sword, but now on his plate. (00:03:50)
Continuity mistake: The first time they go to the beach together, Alain is sleeping while Stephanie is swimming. When she wakes him up with her potent whistling, he has his hand on his belly that touches the bathing shorts'upper band in the first shot, but the hand is in a different position above his bellybutton in the wider angle. Continuity mistake: Tom walks into Anthony's memory. Anthony is sitting by the pool next to a table with two glasses of beer, which are 1/3rd empty. A few minutes later the memory is replayed, but this time both beer glasses are mostly full. (00:49:50 - 00:58:35)
Continuity mistake: When Luke grabs a beer from the mini bar in the hotel, there's a lot of beer foam in the top of the bottle. In the next shot, when Luke's sitting on the bed, the foam is gone without taking a first sip.
Continuity mistake: The alarm clock chimes; Juno Temple reaches up with her left hand, putting it on the upper part of the pillow. Michael Angarano crawls over her to turn the alarm off, but she's napping with her hand by her chin, on the bottom corner of the pillow. (00:02:40)
