Revealing mistake: After Martin cuts his arm off, there are several scenes where you can see the bulge of the actor's real arm under his jacket. This is most noticeable when he is running through the birch wood, and when rooting through the ruins of the burned cabin.
Revealing mistake: Throughout the movie closeups of Enik's eyes reflect the lights and set around him that aren't part of the movie. During the scene when he's talking to Dr. Marshall about how the crystal controls the sleestack, you can see the white ceiling of the soundstage and lights which instead should be the sky.
Revealing mistake: After Chuck steps on the toy duck, he looks up to see the alien family and their house behind them. However, there is no reflection of this on his visor, just an empty field and the trees beyond.
Revealing mistake: When Amelia and Larry are flying, his hair doesn't move a single inch.
Revealing mistake: After Miley lets a truckload of walnuts roll down the street, the British reporter is having a hard time keeping his balance. At one point, both feet just barely touch the ground and it is quite obvious that he was suspended on a cable during filming.
Revealing mistake: During the distant shot when Mary, the reporter and little girl are first coming up out of the hole, the cable going back down into the hole is barely taut and moving around too freely to actually be pulling that much weight up even for a steel cable.
Revealing mistake: When Helvetica is on the rocket bike, her hair doesn't move.
Revealing mistake: Near the end of the film, Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin are sitting on a lawn swing. The number of chains supporting the swing varies between shots. Sometimes the back stay is a single chain and sometimes it is a double chain.
Suggested correction: The swing supports never change. There's suspending chains on both sides of the bench; both chains are each attached to another chain with (2) connection points, one on the lower front and one on the upper back (4 points total on the bench).
Revealing mistake: When Margaret falls from the boat, she is floating with her shoulders well above the water, probably due to a hidden flotation device. Her outfit was too tight to trap any air for buoyancy, and a fully clothed person would normally be up to their neck in the water.
Revealing mistake: As the boat is in its final minutes, two of the crew are shown swimming across the deck to get to the dry part. But once they've climbed up, their clothes are still dry.
Revealing mistake: During the scene where the four Ninjas dressed in black have a pillow fight with the 'Girl' Ninja dressed in white, you can see that it's not the little girl fighting them, but a tall 'Oriental Man' stunt double instead.
Revealing mistake: During the opening scenes, just before the "double tap rule" a car hits a zombie in a security guard uniform. The windshield breaks a split second before the zombie hits it.
Suggested correction: The glass breaks at absolutely the right moment just when the zombie hits it.
Revealing mistake: When the guys are on the bench and the kid is taking a photo of them with the cell phone, when the scene cuts back to behind the kid before the phone is kicked, the phone is just on the standard main screen. The camera is not even on.
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Tucker takes off his fireman outfit, there's a waitress at the right side of the screen with four wine glasses on a tray. Gravity seems to have no pull on the liquid or the glasses, as both remain stuck even when she tilts the tray too far towards herself. (01:03:10)
Revealing mistake: When Cora and Madea are driving the mini-van to go to anger management you can see that the gear shift lever is in the up or "park" position. The lever should be in the "drive" position.
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Marshall "Lube" Lubetsky has just fallen out of the cable car on the mountain and Ashley climbs down to get to him we see foot prints in the snow coming from the trees on the side to where Marshall is lying, giving away that the actor walked to that position, when the character is meant to have fallen there.
Revealing mistake: When Connor jumps out of his uncle's car before it crashes into the lake, it's obviously a stuntman. His hair is darker and straighter than the actor's. (01:22:40)
Revealing mistake: Raju's website is actually a screenshot. The recycle bin is visible in the upper left corner. It can also be seen that there is no internet connection in the lower right corner of the computer. (02:40:15)
Revealing mistake: When Larry floats drowned in the pool, his face remains motionless until the very last second, when he starts to chuckle: probably a flaw of the actor straining for the last bit of air.
Revealing mistake: When we see Clouseau hanging on the chandelier on the CCTV at Alonso's mansion, you can see it is not Steve Martin but his stunt double.
