Other mistake: When Ryan and Alex are first together in the hotel room, there is a gratuitous nude view of her getting on the bed. The body double used for this couldn't be more than 21, and her appearance is quite at odds with the character, who is pushing 40.
Suggested correction: This is pure opinion. Yes, it has been said that a body double was used in this scene. But within the world of the movie, there's no reason that can't be Alex. She reveals later that she's 34, and many women look absolutely splendid at that age. We see her partially nude in the very next shot, with no big discrepancy from what we saw from behind. It wasn't until after several viewings of this movie that I found out that this was a double, and even now that I know, it's still not obvious at all.
Other mistake: In the classroom, during a travelling under the desks, you can see the girl blinker in the back, blinking.
Other mistake: When Wes is running from the bad guys he hides in a St Patrick's day parade. No buildings that they pass have any St Patrick's day decorations or give any hint of this holiday, including the Irish bar they go into earlier.
Other mistake: When Mark and Greg exit the casino holding buckets of chips they won, Greg holds one of his buckets at an angle at which all chips should fall off. This is obviously a prop.
Other mistake: When Rebecca gets back to New York, the cab she's in drives past a couple of billboards, advertising Disney's "G-Force", and the upcoming Bruckheimer produced "Prince of Persia". The billboards were reflected in the window of the cab in perfectly clear focus and correctly as the eye would see, not backwards as they should be as a reflection. (00:53:05)
Other mistake: Throughout most of the sequence in Hugh Hefner's office, the framing of the camera cuts the main character's head off. This is not a cinema error, this is bad framing. The framing fixes itself then goes back to cutting the character's head off.
Other mistake: During the shot where Katy holds her cellphone up to her computer screen, it is seen that Andy's video has 27,000 views. A few shots later, though, Andy claims it has half a million views and is the top featured video on the site. (01:05:25)
Other mistake: During the church scene, an elderly man is seen using a Black Motorola flip cell phone that wasn't available until 2005, some 2 years after the movie was set.
Other mistake: When Max is reading the note Mary left on the first page of her book, the words Mary speaks continue on the next page, but Max never turns the page.
Other mistake: When Lisa and Toby are out, they are drinking Beck's Blue, a non-alcoholic version of Beck's, yet they still appear to be drunk. (00:39:30)
Other mistake: Inspector Clouseau concludes Miss Solandres was the thief by looking at her license plate and discovering he gave the car a fine 2 days before she claimed to have arrived in Paris, 1 day before the Pink Panther was stolen. However she told Clouseau her car was a rental moments earlier, therefore he should've assumed the fine applied to the previous renter as Clouseau had no reason to doubt Miss Solandres' story at that point. Other mistake: The program the couple receives at dinner the first day has 6am marked as "Couples skill building", followed at 9am by "Dr. Marcel's activity." But all their mornings begin with Marcel's activity.
