Factual error: In the scene at the beginning, where Jonesy is in back of the ambulance after being hit by the car while crossing the road, they show the paramedics shocking him with the defibrillator. After the first shock, one of the medics says that Jonesy is still flatline and says to hit him again. This would not normally happen because you don't defibrillate in an Asystole rhythm (flatline).
Factual error: When the zombies are about to over-run the house, one of the ravers sacrifices himself by shooting a keg of gunpowder to blow up the building. The problem is that gunpowder is not an impact explosive, you could shoot that keg all day and all it would do is put holes in it. Just shooting it would not cause an explosion.
Factual error: The prisoner is described as carrying an "Axis IV Dissociative Disorder"; that is complete nonsense - dissociative disorders are placed on Axis I in psychiatric diagnoses (Axis I is clinically treatable disorders; Axis II is mental retardation/personality disorders; Axis III is concomitant health problems (e.g., hypertension, diabetes mellitus, CABG, etc.); Axis IV is a list of psychosocial stressors and their severity (e.g., "Moderate - Health problems, financial problems"); Axis V is the GAF score (Global Assessment of Function, scored from 0 - 100). *Any* clinical professional with psychiatric experience would put dissociative disorder on Axis I except for the psychiatrist in the film, who apparently doesn't know any better. Factual error: The movie takes place in Des Plaines, Illinois, with a couple of scenes from downtown Chicago. However, throughout the movie you can see both palm trees and mountains in the background, none of which actually exist in Illinois. The producers also point this out on the DVD commentary.
Factual error: When the Chinese enter the Pink nightclub at the start and shoot everyone, they fire their weapons for a constant minute. Not one of them reloads their weapon once.
Factual error: The flight of the Hammer is a very bumpy one and more than once the ship is either upside down, on its side or straight up and down. The crew of the Hammer are completely unaffected by this and keep feeding ammunition to the guns. The Hammer's movements should be tossing them around since they aren't strapped to a chair like the pilots and the gunners are.
Factual error: In the scene where Wolverine is shot in the head the bullet stays in place until it falls off. Wolverine's skull is indestructible Adamantium (that doesn't even bend slightly from the impact), and an object that applies a certain amount of energy towards another object has the same energy applied to it in return. Considering the bullet's high speed (which means high energy) and the fact that there is not enough material around Wolverine's skull to absorb the bullet's energy, the bullet should have bounced right out.
Factual error: When the fearless trio get into the watchtower, the windows are absolutely spotless. It is very unrealistic that they would be that clean.
Factual error: In the movie, Cristina declines to press charges so Jack goes free, but it's the District Attorney who decides whether charges are pressed on behalf of the state.
Factual error: When Dai Su and Mido enter many branches of Blue Dragon restaurants to taste test the dumplings, the Chinese characters of the establishments actually translate to Green Dragon.
Factual error: The 4-wheel-drive Meredith van Aken is using to pick up Jonathan Cold and the black box has got a German registration plate for Berlin. However there are no discrimination letters after the "B" for Berlin, but a 5 digit number starting with "3." Only police cars carry registration plates like this in Berlin.
Factual error: The Los Angeles Police Department no longer has an Internal Affairs division. The division is known as the Bureau of Professional Standards and is subject to civilian oversight - meaning the roughshod treatment Gavilan was receiving at their hands would have been checked at minimum by a civilian review board. That having been said, Gavilan's behavior should have gotten him in trouble regardless of whether or not someone in the department was out to get him.
Factual error: Before the Wonderland Ave. killings a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey is displayed on the coffee table. The label shows, "Jack Daniels Kentucky whiskey" which should be" Tennessee whiskey".
Factual error: As the bus crashes, the destinations spewed out from the destination panel are towns from Devon (England). These include: Newton Abbot, Paignton zoo and Torquay. (00:25:10)
