Plot hole: When Eldon checks out the address Van Meter gave him he finds where Orchard and Sidwell are living. All well and good, except: A) The utilities bill is in the names of Orchard and Sidwell, who are known wanted felons in L.A. and B) even more implausibly, the bill is in BOTH their names.
Continuity mistake: When Harry's guide is captured by the British troops, they flog him. In the very next scene his back shows no evidence of him ever being whipped.
Factual error: Sister Assumpta takes the book from the boys and puts it in a drawer of contraband in her desk. There is a shot of the inside of the drawer and you can see a Marvel GI Joe comic book. This film is set in the late 1970s, but the first issue of GI Joe was released in 1982.
Factual error: Chuck and Penny are seen drinking Rolling Rock beer in clear glass bottles. But Rolling Rock beer has always come in green glass bottles.
Continuity mistake: During the ice show Smoochy gets crowned by the fairy who flies in from above. Right before he sits down at the desk to read the "Smoochy Hits #1" issue of Variety, the crown falls off and rolls away across the ice. When he's sitting at the desk, the crown is back. (01:32:51)
Continuity mistake: Rachael leaves the party with one hairdo, and arrives at Cassandra's place a few minutes later with a completely different one.
Revealing mistake: When Marius is talking to Lestat on the beach, the victim that Lestat drops is a dummy. (00:24:05)
Continuity mistake: When Liam and his other two mates are inside there house, Liam looks at the projection screen and stands up to take the slide out of the machine. Between shots there is nothing in his right hand as he stands up, yet in the following shot he is holding a can of lager in his left hand. (00:03:15)
Other mistake: In the Super Bowl, both end zones are painted with the Vikings logo (you can see the far end zone as they go to kick the game winning field goal). One end zone should bear the Bills' logo.
Continuity mistake: After his arrival at Hawaii Barry calls his sister from a phone booth to ask her for Lena's hotel and phone number. From the side we see two men standing next to him, but between shots these two men get replaced by two women. (01:01:35)
Continuity mistake: Right after Paul goes home with the doctor, the doctor and his wife are clearing the dinner table talking about Paul staying at the house. The wife turns to the dinner table and is holding 2 napkins. The camera angle changes and the wife is now seen walking 2 glasses over to the sink.
Factual error: In the scene where the Doyle family's story is broadcast on TV, locations are Irish, the channel's name is RTE. (Ireland's national TV station.) Ireland's first TV station was not installed until the mid sixties, ten years afterwards.
Continuity mistake: Clint Eastwood is viewing the security camera tape from the store on his boat. As Graciela arrives carrying a paper bag, the scarf covering her sweater changes position at least twice.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the movie Astrid's eyebrows change colour from a light brown to a dark brown.
Continuity mistake: In the third rendition of the story of what happened at Zhao, Nameless shows that his attack could have immense precision by throwing all the additional sticks in the air along with the white one. Not only does the white stick change trajectory during the scene changes, but at the end the additional sticks all seem to fly in from a barrel just out of sight instead of falling all around Nameless' sword.
Revealing mistake: When De Silva's men start to celebrate after they start building the ramp and the Zealots throw boulders down at them from Masada, the boulders bounce after hitting the ground. Big boulders like those should definitely break, not bounce.
Other mistake: When Arnold and Gerald first bump into Helga at the bus stop, they ask her for bus money, but throughout the rest of the movie they never need bus money.
Factual error: When the upset boyfriend ends up driving off the cliff, his car explodes into flames magically and the fire doesn't even start at the engine. The entire interior of the car is consumed and when the car crashes, its explosion is on par with a missile. The character, when seen next, doesn't have a burn on him at all ignoring the fact that there was no humanely possible way to survive that fall and explosion.
Factual error: The issue of "Guideposts" shown by Crane's interviewers is from the early '90s.
Continuity mistake: At the start when Pistachio's dad is in the car, you see in the background that they are on a road, but when you see a wider outside shot, he isn't driving on a road.
