Factual error: As the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry lifts off from LZ X-Ray at the end of the battle, it can be seen that there are no more American troops left at the battlefield. However, by the time 1/7 CAV left LZ X-Ray, it had been relieved by two full battalions (2/7 CAV and 1/5 CAV). There were around 700 American soldiers occupying LZ X-Ray by the time 1/7 CAV lifted off.
Factual error: When the special forces arrive in the Station of the hive, the computer identifies the soldier`s weapons. The name under the picture is right, but the picture always shows an MP5, even at the soldier carrying a G36 Assault rifle. (00:19:20)
Factual error: All swords in this movie are made from steel, and in the beginning it's said that the film takes place years before the Pyramids were built (they were built around 3200 BC). Steel wouldn't be around for 2000 more years. (00:03:50 - 00:12:40)
Factual error: At the end of the film, when Ramu is on the Sally Jesse Raphael show, even if it was being broadcast live in New York, it certainly wouldn't be broadcast live in India for his family to watch. Also, India is 9 1/2 hours ahead of New York. If Ramu's family are watching the show when it's daytime in New York, it's awfully light outside!
Factual error: When May cuts her eye out with the scissors at the end of the movie, the fake eyeball used for the effect is perfectly round. A human eyeball is far from being perfectly round.
Factual error: In the scene where Noah analyses the tape, he says that the 'timecode' seems to be invalid and says that every tape has a track where you can see what device was used to record it, etc. The video technology explanation originates from the original, Ringu, with the plot of The Ring changed to make it more applicable to average Americans. But a VHS tape does not have a special track for timecode. It is possible to lay a timecode onto the tape in either an analogue form via a special audio channel, or as digital information on lines 16 and 18 of the vertical interval. But this 'timecode' is only used for professional video editing. A standard VCR, like the one they were playing the tape on, does not use this, and therefore makes Noah's explanation a minute of utter nonsense.
Factual error: In the scene where MGySgt Beckett and his female Balkan contact are in the basement weapons storage area, he is searching for a sniper-capable weapon to use to rescue Sgt Cole his captors. He holds up an old rifle and refers to it as a "Mauser, 7.92mm, best rifle the Germans made". He is, in fact, holding a Soviet era Mosin-Nagant M1891 rifle, probably chambered in 7.62x54mm.
Factual error: The bandages for Freddie's stab wounds are on top of his shirt. If he were really stabbed severely three times on the shoulder, the paramedics would have at least make him take off his shirt to better dress the wound. Freddie didn't even take off his jacket!
Factual error: In the scene of the concert, Simone is a hologram but the microphone is real, as it is set up in the previous scene with Viktor and crew going over details, but one shot shows Simone holding and singing into the microphone, which is impossible for a hologram to pick up. (01:03:40)
Factual error: Many shots of the submarine in drydock show Halifax, Nova Scotia's MacKay and MacDonald bridges in the background.
Factual error: The rifles the British soldiers carried in the film were Lee Enfield rifle No. 4's, these did not go into production until WW2. They should have been using an earlier version of the Lee Enfield rifle.
Factual error: When Sam Jackson removes the lug nuts from Ben Affleck's Mercedes, Ben's character continues to drive before the wheel comes off. All Mercedes models use wheel lug bolts and once removed, the wheel immediately falls of the hub. (01:00:15)
Factual error: When the donor is wheeled in for surgery to harvest her organs there are no signs of life support, no tubes, no IV, not resporator. A donor must be kept "alive" by life support or the organs will die.
Factual error: Inga comes from Gettzemüllersteigen, Sweden. However the Swedish alphabet does not contain the letter ü. Also the combination of the letters in this name would never occur in the Swedish language, rather in German languages.
Factual error: In the final inning of the district championship game, the Owls are ahead by one run and there are two outs when the opposing team's top hitter steps up to the plate. This is impossible because this batter was the final out in the previous inning when his team came to bat. That he bats at all in the final inning with two outs means his team would have batted around the order and scored at least 3 runs in that inning already and had the lead.
Factual error: In "The Bully Proof Vest" Gromit is punched through a door, leaving a perfect shape of him as a hole in the wood, including both ears. Gromit is wearing a hat which keeps his ears hidden both before and after the punch. (00:01:19)
Factual error: When the archangels jump from the helicopter, the "bait" is looking behind him saying he can see the dragon. For a parajumper to look between his legs to view behind himself, he would de-arch and thus de-stabilise himself while travelling at that speed. It would send the jumper into a barrel-roll spin.
Factual error: When Ellen gets married in 1907 she is 20, but when she disappears in 1950 she is 70.
Factual error: The whole movie shows methamphetamine constricting their pupils. Methamphetamine is a central nervous system stimulant which dilates the pupils - the exact opposite of what is shown.
Factual error: Otisville Prison was not in the direction Monty's father was driving. He said he would take the Henry Hudson Parkway north and later continue on the Taconic Parkway. The Taconic runs due north toward Massachusetts on the east side of the Hudson River. Otisville is 30 miles west of the Hudson.
