Continuity mistake: When Samuel and Rebecca wake up in bed at Sean's house, they pull back the sheets to find Gail and Marty's little girl hidden under the sheets. When they pull them back she is seen facing the headboard and she screams when they do. The camera angle changes to a side view and as her parents walk into the room, she is seen now facing the door.
Continuity mistake: After Wallace gives the woman the balls of yarn, the balls change position between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Greg Kinnear is punching Harrison Ford he hits Ford´s shoulder, but Harrison Ford is taking his hand up to his face like he was being hit there.
Continuity mistake: In the tournament at the end, the other people on horses that are competing don't even try to knock them off their horses.
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Junior cuts the tree with his chainsaw, when he looks up to see how high it is, we can see it has branches. In the next scene when the tree falls on Scoutmaster Flimm, it doesn't have them at all and is cut straight at the top. (00:29:40 - 00:31:00)
Other mistake: Soon after Dan Ackroyd makes John Candy translate all the phrases spray-painted on the van into French, you can see them driving on the road and all the spray-paint has gone. Then later in the film it reappears and stays for the rest of the film.
Visible crew/equipment: In this shot, Tim Roth is talking on the phone. In the background over his left shoulder you can see a crew member walk across the background. This takes place over about 4-6 frames on the DVD. (01:06:20)
Continuity mistake: As Holly and Abe kiss through the cell bars, Abe goes from crouched, to straight-backed to crouched again.
Continuity mistake: When Po is killed by the NVA it is the middle of the night, Captains Cahill and Doyle are close enough to the village to hear the shots and rush back to the village but as they enter the village it is early dawn.
Revealing mistake: In the "Anger" segment, right before Dice is shot up and killed in the convenience store, the explosive bullet/blood packs are visible under his shirt.
Revealing mistake: After Nicole has showered and she is getting out, you can see that she is wearing underwear as she is stepping out, to protect her modesty.
Continuity mistake: In the opening football scene, when Angus makes a tackle, the football clearly falls to the ground. In the next shot, however, it is seen soaring through the air.
Continuity mistake: When JC is in the car with his friends, he says Chloe has no money and between shots his collar jumps from under to over the seat belt.
Continuity mistake: When Max is running out of the school after successfully becoming cool. We see his friend with the orange mohawk at least twice. Once hanging from a statue, and another where he's reaching out from a school bus. These two shots are really close together so there is no way that he could have moved that quick.
Continuity mistake: One whole day of the week is missing. The rain begins on Wednesday night, but the narrator has the rain beginning Thursday night. All of Thursday is missing.
Continuity mistake: In the lunchroom when the boy gets tripped, a bunch of the food flies out of the bowl in the slow motion shot. When the bowl lands on Steve Guttenberg's head, it's full of food.
Continuity mistake: When Dawn is getting food for Steve, she is shown pulling out a wooden tray, but in a quick shot change, the tray is shown on the table with a plate of food already on it.
Revealing mistake: At the cemetery, a reporter nudges a headstone and it moves, revealing it is fake.
Audio problem: On the video version, in the barbecue scene, the band starts playing the slow song. The camera is on Eddie and his daughter and they are dancing. If you look closely, the male singer in the background is shown standing on stage and just holding his guitar and not singing, even though the vocals can be heard. In a later shot, he is actually singing. Still later in the scene, he is shown just standing on stage and not singing.
Continuity mistake: When Darius, Sterling and Jeffrey are talking in the anteroom at the memorial, the door leading out is shown open, then closed, then open again in three successive shots, but nobody is seen closing or opening it.
