Corrected entry: During the ceremony scene at the end of the movie when they are presenting the medal to Brian Davis Jr, they never mention his father's name or even his name. The only name that is mentioned is his civilian director.
Corrected entry: When the president of the school comes to the Pit to tell them they're being evicted, Gutter is grilling steak in the living room, yet the smoke from the flames magically disappears and the room is smoke free.
Correction: Based on the size of the room and the fact that Gutter only has one steak grilling means he doesn't have a very large fire in the BBQ pit. After a grill is lit, the amount of smoke is dependant on the amount of food on the grill, as there is no active flame, the cooking is done strictly by heat. With that small a fire and the size of the room, the smoke would easily dissipate and not fill the room.
Corrected entry: In the cave accident a massive rock falls on Stephen's chest that would have instantly killed anybody else. (01:15:20)
Correction: Lydia says the doctor told them it should have killed him, but it didn't.
Corrected entry: When Victor is being chased by the creature in the arctic, Victor is pushed/slides down a hole, and conveniently lands on ice. When he gets up, the monster is already there - almost like he teleported. It is a physical impossibility for the monster to get down the hole so fast.
Corrected entry: Fraser's girlfriend slams a chair against a soundproof glass and the glass shatters. Soundproof glass is usually 3 or 4 inches thick and is very hard to break. Also, if the glass wasn't soundproof, it should've been because most radio stations have those. (01:19:15)
Correction: Given that you can hear what goes on inside the booth from the outside, it obviously isn't soundproof. And just because "most" radio stations have it, doesn't mean all do. My local pop/rock station doesn't.
Corrected entry: When Will and Alden walk up to the horses one horse (Fort Knox) gets its blanket removed. However, a few shots earlier we see it already without the blanket, snorting at the wolf-to-be. (00:15:10)
Correction: After the blanket is removed from the horse at the party and the horse starts going crazy the blanket keeps appearing and disappearing on the horse every few shots.
Corrected entry: The 3 Ninjas drive through Tokyo in a Limo. Colt pokes his head out of the sun roof and the other two boys join him. Colt is on the left. In the next shot, when the Japanese lady also joins them, Colt is on the right.
Correction: It's not the next shot, the next shot after the other boys join him is shots of Tokyo. Plenty of time for them to change places.
Corrected entry: When Black Beauty is being lead away after Ruben fell off you can see a piece of cloth wrapped around his front pastern to get him to "limp."
Correction: This could be because the person leading him tied a cloth around it to protect his unshod hoof from further injury from the rough road.
Corrected entry: Beethoven is seen removing the dedication to Napoleon from the title page of "Eroica" at the same time as the siege of Vienna. The dedication was removed several years before, when Napoleon declared himself Emperor of France.
Correction: The filmmakers do not claim this film to be historically accurate. It contains many historical inaccuracies and takes liberties regarding people and events. As such, it comes down to a deliberate directorial decision and artistic license.
Corrected entry: While Guile hides behind a broken brick wall, he tells Chung Li and Balrog to find the hostages and get them out. Why leave the most pivotal mission objective up to two untrained, unarmed journalists? What kind of a plan is that? Surely he should have told them to get down and waited for his own forces to arrive.
Correction: It is possible that Guile trusts his companions' ability to survive the scenario. After all, he's seen Ryu and Ken in action, and that Chun Li has escaped the heavily guarded Shadaloo HQ has done her credit. Since it is possible that the AN troops might not be able to fight their way to the hostages in time, it is Guile's priority to get the hostages out quick, and Ken, Guile and Chun Li & Co are the closest available helpers.
Corrected entry: When Maverick, Cooper, and the commodore are in the woods near the end of the movie, Maverick throws a gun up in the air for them to fight over but Cooper still had his gun in his holster. He was never forced to give it up so therefore he didn't need to fight the commodore over the tossed gun. (01:56:10)
Correction: .SPOILERS. Since Coop is Maverick's father, he probably knew that gun was not loaded, and not in any danger from the Commodore.
Corrected entry: When Laurie kisses Jo, a large and long, noticeable slather of drool snaps between their lips as they break apart.
Correction: Which might well happen when two people kiss - not a mistake.
Corrected entry: When Don Juan is sold as a slave, and is presented to the first woman, he is sitting in a chair with a back. Later on in the scene, while still in the same chair, he and the woman lean back to lay down.
Correction: They never sat on a chair. They were on a large bed by the wall.
Corrected entry: At the end of the film, Christopher Eccleston pins Ewan McGregor to the floor with a kitchen knife by driving it through his shoulder. The camera shows a shot of the knife coming out of McGregor's shoulder and going into the floor, but there is no blood on the knife.
Correction: Actually, in the ending where you can see the money there is blood on it which shows there is blood on the knife, and you can also see it drip off the knife.
Corrected entry: At both the first town meeting and when the power first gets switched on, Harold is shown to be unhappy and brooding in all his close-ups, but in crowd shots he's smiling and excited.
Correction: When he appears to be smiling and happy, he's faking it. The close-ups are meant to show how he really feels.
Corrected entry: Throughout the entire movie, Parkmans' helmets never have a protective piece covering the ear. Any baseball games at any level the helmets have that protective piece over the ear.
Correction: This is USUALLY true but not entirely, especially in the 80's. I remember several of my favorite players, including then Chicago Cub's catcher Jody Davis, wore the same kind of helmet and I used to wonder that myself. Rare yes, but not unheard of.
Corrected entry: Through the whole movie they make a big deal about how the young character "JP" doesn't ride in cars because he used to live in one (they take him places in a bus, van, etc.). Yet, in the end, his friend is sitting in the car, depressed, and JP sits next to him in the car to console him.
Correction: You could argue that this shows that cheering up his friend is more important than anything else.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Reinhardt Lane is trying to defuse the bomb hanging from the ceiling he cuts a wire leaving a short piece of bare metal at each end, in the shot where he reconnects them the bare parts have grown considerably. (01:35:50)
Correction: After cutting the yellow wire, her father twists together the bare ends of two white wires, leaving the yellow wire cut in two.
Corrected entry: When Tess is kidnapped by her driver, Doug has to run all the way to the nearest gas station to use a payphone to call the secret service and tell them about it and to come pick him up but he had his cell phone on him that he used as soon as he was picked up.
Correction: It's a mounted phone. You can see the cord.
Corrected entry: In the scene near the end where Ice Tea shoots a tree to make it fall over the river, he states that he has only one bullet left and that it must work, then he fires three more shots.
Correction: He says "Only three bullets left. It's gotta work."
Correction: The point of not saying his name was to build suspense for the recruits and those gathered there. The fact that he gives it to Davis Jr. makes it clear who the soldier is, so there was no need to say his name (it also built some suspense for the film audience, even though it was already clear whom they were talking about.) However, after presenting him with the Silver Star, we don't see the rest of the ceremony and therefore it's possibly they say Brian Davis Sr.'s name.
