Corrected entry: When Simba finally sees his father's ghost in the clouds, he first stands in front of the water. As Mufasa begins to fade away, Simba suddenly runs forward, exactly where the water should be, yet it's not there.
Corrected entry: At the end of the movie Uncle Dave introduces a new character to the Wonderland family, Axel Fox, as a way of thanking Axel for his hard work and for saving his park. Earlier in the film Axel is awaiting to use the phone behind a father and son. The phone is designed in the form of Axel Fox who shouldn't be invented at this time.
Correction: The phone is in the image of Floyd Fox, who can be seen at various times in the Wonder World scenes. There is even a guy in a Floyd Fox suit when Axel enters Wonder World for the first time. "Axel Fox" is the same character but dressed in a Detroit Lions jacket.
Corrected entry: Towards the end of the movie we see Steven Seagal telling a room full of reporters and Native Americans that we must not pollute our planet by using oil. That we must find alternatives to crude oil and not harm or further damage our atmosphere. During the course of the movie Steven blows up a helicopter, explodes a satchel bomb on pristine terrain, and lastly blows up an entire oil refinery that rains havoc on the environment by polluting the water, air and soil with crude oil and dead bodies he is voicing to protect.
Correction: A character being potentially hypocritical isn't a plot hole. Taft believed all his actions were for the greater good and that shutting down the refinery by any means was a necessary act. Telling people after the fact that they need to care more about the environment isn't a movie mistake at all, it's just the character's opinion.
Corrected entry: Near the end, the kids are kidnapped. If Bam Bam is so strong, why does he not release himself and Pebbles when they are tied with ropes?
Correction: At best, a character mistake. Would you expect a child that young to have that much presence of mind when he's probably very scared?
Corrected entry: When Tom rescues Wade he knocks him out not to get pulled under himself, and Wade visibly turns limp under water. The moment they emerge Wade has regained full consciousness and is able to pull himself into the raft. (00:25:20)
Correction: Nothing wrong with this. People are perfectly capable of being "unconscious" for only a few seconds. Surely an underwater punch from an "everyman" like Tom would only incapacitate Wade for a few moments.
Corrected entry: When Frank is talking to Jane after tying up Rocco's mom, Jane is mouthing Frank's line, "Don't you see?" (00:54:05)
Correction: She is not mouthing "Don't you see" she is mouthing "children" That word really touched her because in the all of the movie she is trying to have a child with him.
Corrected entry: When Don Jagger is being dragged into the power lines by Gary Busey's character whilst they are sky diving, why doesn't he simply detach and use his spare. For a professional sky diver, he should have known this.
Correction: Yes, professionals in desperation would pull their spare, however because of the lack of altitude it would have been just another way for him to die. It takes several hundred feet for the spare parachute to deploy, and they were just a few hundred feet above the ground in that scene.
Corrected entry: In the diner scene at the beginning of the movie, the hunters come in and one of them say to the waitress, "Miller, Mabel." The other orders a Coors. However, for the rest of the scene, Miller-boy's got the Coors, and vice versa.
Correction: Not so. The waitress hands them the wrong bottles, but the next time we see the bottles, Miller guy has traded with his buddy, and has his proper Miller from then on. Simple waitress error, not a movie mistake.
Corrected entry: Towards the end of the movie, at the docks, when Einhorn has the gun pointed to Ace's head, you can see that the trigger is pulled all the way in. (01:10:30)
Correction: The revolver is a Smith & Wesson Model 36. If you pull the hammer all the way back the trigger will retract to that position so that only a slight tug is required to fire.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Derek first meets Odette and gives her the locket, Derek looks much older than Odette but when they are at Derek's castle they look the same age.
Correction: In the beginning I agree Derek does look older but when they meet at the castle Derek still looks older than Odette and throughout the song as they grow up you can tell Derek is older.
Corrected entry: How did Payne not find out about the passengers getting off safely sooner than noticing the loop in the video feed? While choppers weren't allowed in the air space of LAX, there was reporters and media following the event on almost every channel. Payne was watching numerous TVs but not one channel mentions the massive explosion at the airport when the bus hits the plane, which would have been visible from the perimeter.
Correction: Mac instructed the major networks to cease broadcasting at the same time as they created the loop feed, so in effect the networks would have only been broadcasting previously-run footage and re-iterating what they knew, with the ground crew unable to report further under orders from the LAPD.
Corrected entry: In the beginning of the movie, while showing Walker's partner Atwood comparing the October 30, 1929 paper with the October 30, 2004 USA Today, Atwood circles Mid States Oil. The problem with this is the fact that October 30, 2004 falls on a Saturday, and USA Today does not print a Saturday paper. Instead, on Friday, it publishes a paper for the entire weekend, and it states Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on it.
Correction: While in 1994 when the movie was made USA Today did not publish on Saturdays, it is entirely reasonable that in their future timeline, by 2004 USA Today would begin publishing a Saturday edition, so could have become possible. As such this isn't a mistake, just creative license with a possible future that we now know didn't come to be.
Corrected entry: When Tina Carlyle performs at the Coco Bongo she is first shown behind some branches on a podium, then she is seen walking down steps to the stage. But there were no steps on the podium for her to walk on.
Correction: There ARE steps leading down. The camera angle makes it appear as though there aren't any, but look carefully. There are at least five steps.
Corrected entry: At the beginning, the narrator describes it as being a "cold and frosty November morning when Master Richie came into the world," however when Richard Sr. opens the doors, green leaves are visible outside the windows.
Correction: Many trees have green leaves year round.
Corrected entry: When Scott and Charlie are at the North Pole, you can't see their breath.
Correction: Snow doesn't have to mean temperatures below freezing. We have a lot of snow where I live, but you don't always see your breath, even in December. It is not just a matter of cold, but also of humidity.
Corrected entry: At the end of the movie after Krista receives her award, she salutes with her left hand. The army personnel on the ground all salute with their right hand.
Correction: Her right arm is in a sling so she is unable to use it to salute.
Corrected entry: Stan bursts into Toni's birthday bash and they chat about the 'Italian' hitman. The balloons in the restaurant are moving behind Toni, but behind Stan they are completely still.
Correction: Not true. The balloons move around like the others, but they do change places in between the scenes moving between Stansfield's face and Tony's.
Corrected entry: When Metsuko is walking with Chen Zen to the boat to go to Shanghai. Metsuko's shirt is white with red stripes, but when they change the angle of the scene, she is now wearing a white shirt with a blue bamboo pattern.
Correction: The two scenes are not meant to be continuous. Chen Zen obviously didn't go directly from the classroom to the ship bound for Shanghai.
Corrected entry: It is established in the film that Abbydos is on the other side of the known universe (something later contradicted by the TV series). If this is the case, why would one of its co-ordinates be the constellation Orion which logically is itself on the other side of the known universe from the destination; something that spoils Dr. Jackson's six points in 3D space idea.
Correction: There is no reason why one of the points for a destination could not be extremely far away. Planets are identified by the intersection of three lines formed by six points, not by the 6 nearest points.
Corrected entry: Randall is watching 'Return of the Jedi' but the sound effects are from 'The Last Starfighter.'
Correction: On the DVD commentary, Smith says that they actually built the "Jedi" soundtrack from scratch.
Correction: There are some close ups of Mufasa's head at this point. The pond is not very wide across; Simba had a large opportunity to step across.
