Continuity mistake: When William Petersen is talking to his kid in the supermarket, the cereal boxes behind him on the shelves change between two shots. The items behind Kevin also change during the scene. (01:09:05 - 01:10:20)
Continuity mistake: When the Marines first enter the reactor room, the "Mission Time" readout on the shoulder mounted cameras jumps backwards and forwards in time with every cut. (00:54:10)
Continuity mistake: In the first successful teleportation of the baboon, there is one scene where Brundle's hands move from being straight to folded in just one shot.
Continuity mistake: When Seymour tries to kill the plant he pulls a gun, the gun is a six shooter, the plant grabs the gun and fires at the guy, then he fires some more, in total the plant fires 9 shots with a six shooter...
Continuity mistake: When Jason stabs Cort in the head (Cort is driving the camper) we see an exterior shot of the camper before it flips over. Look inside the camper; Jason is no longer standing behind the driver's seat where he stabbed Cort. In fact, Jason is gone altogether. (00:39:15)
Suggested correction: More than likely Jason fell back from the wreck, he's tough but not Superman tough.
This correction missed the point of the mistake. Before the RV flips, there's no sign of Jason when he should be seen standing between the front seats.
I watched it and Jason wasn't in sight. I wonder if he backed up while the RV was going crazy due to the driver getting stabbed in the head. I have no idea, I had to rewind and pause to see it.
Continuity mistake: At the baseball field, a steamroller comes crashing through the billboard and rolls over a boy on the ground. You can see the roller's steering wheel falling off when he crashes through the board. The next shot, it is there again.
Continuity mistake: During the very last scene with all of the Freelings, Taylor and Tangina, right after Taylor leaves alone in the Freelings' car and the Freelings start walking down the street, the camera pans back so you can see the whole neighborhood including where they were just standing. Where did Tangina go?
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film, as the two women are leaving the house, Leslie Anne Downe is holding a large candle. As they get into the car, she sets the candle on the hood of the car. In the net shot, as they back out of the garage, the candle is gone.
Continuity mistake: In one scene C. Thomas Howell almost runs head-on with an 18 wheeler, but just misses it. However, the truck clips the car he is driving and clearly takes the bumper clean off. The next driving scene shows the bumper back on the car.
Continuity mistake: When Genie is being seduced by the demon in Tim's car, her bra strap keeps going up and down. One moment it's on her shoulder, then it's not, then it's back on her shoulder again.
Continuity mistake: When Jim and Brandon are knocked into the water, Brandon dies, but somehow manages to grab hold of Jim and pull himself up.
Continuity mistake: When Roger babysits Robert, the neighbour's son, he begins to cry, so Roger sits with him and watches TV. All of a sudden the tears on the childs face miraculously dry up between cuts.
Continuity mistake: After Charlie shoots April in the ass with the slingshot, she immediately turns around to see who did it. Charlie is holding it as he says "Oops" and Brad takes it from him, all the while April is turned completely towards them. Couldn't she see it was Charlie and not Brad?
Continuity mistake: During the chase scene where they attach the "engine killer" remote to the Dodge M4S (aka Wraith's vehicle), 2 Chevy Malibu Cop cars are barreling up the road towards the racers. Once the cops pass the starting line, the cars are now Dodge cop cars. (00:44:25)
Continuity mistake: When "Lefty" is at the car crash site, you see a blue mobile home going down the road, but it is not there in the next shot. (You may not be able to see this in the full screen version (4:3)).
Continuity mistake: When Adrienne sits on the couch, her cigarette swaps hands between shots.
Continuity mistake: Allison stands six feet from the doorway as she tosses the lighted flare into the paint shop, at the killer robot, and then everything explodes, and she runs off left. But moments later, after the fire and smoke has died down, the camera pans back from the doorway wreckage, and she is suddenly lying wounded in the same spot where she threw the flare. When she should have been long gone out of there.
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Carol is running from Marty, she hides in the gym. Marty runs into the gym. Carol runs out and goes down two flights of stairs. She then goes into a room by the stairs and goes to the window...the window that overlooks the gym. Somehow having gone down two flights of stairs Carol has ended up above the gym.
Continuity mistake: The amount of roaches in the bowl at the bar changes from less to more.
Continuity mistake: Torok the Troll wears a magic silver ring which allows him to appear in the form of Wendy Potter. However after Wendy's mother tells her about the orange juice, when Wendy touches the cold bottle of milk in the fridge she grabs her arm in pain and we can see both of her hands, and she's not wearing that magic ring.
