Corrected entry: Ira Parks, aspiring AG of the State of California, worries about the antics of his wife's ex-husband. He should be worrying about code violations in the construction of his lovely home, like inadequate headers over the windows in his garage.
Corrected entry: During the scene where the squad has to eliminate the sp gun in the Italian village, if you look closely at the sp gun when it rolls its barrel out the window and fires, the smoke from the gun discharging comes from the window, not from the barrel of the gun.
Correction: It wasn't smoke coming from the window, It was dust and debris raised by the concussion from the sp gun, a very good effect.
Corrected entry: When the woman finds the people who really did rob the bank, she goes and finds her cousin (the lawyer) and tells him that they have to get to the rodeo because his clients are going to be killed. Fair enough, the guard is planning to kill them. But she has no idea of that at all. The only two people in the whole film who know it are the guard, and the inmate guard Graham (the ex-rodeo person). As far as we're concerned, she doesn't even know that his clients are IN the rodeo.
Correction: Of course she is aware of the situation. She is their lawyer's cousin and is in constant communication.
Why did they tell the lawyer about their plan to kill the protagonists?
Corrected entry: As Lt. Handcock is being placed in his coffin, the wind blows his shirt up and very briefly you can see the residue from the explosives packs that were placed on his chest to make it look like he'd been shot.
Correction: Do you really believe an actor would wear an explosive squib against his skin? A moulded fibreglass and foam shield is used, and there is no chance, none at all, that 'explosive residue' would end up on his skin. The marks you see are part of the make up job applied to the actor's chest to imply bullet wounds.
Corrected entry: Orville and Ma both race all the way to Bakersfield to warn Philo that the bad guys are on their way to get him. They knew exactly where he was going to be - why not warn him with a simple phone call instead of going through all the trouble of racing nearly 100 miles to warn him in person?
Correction: They're assuming that the bad guys would cut the phone lines to the motel, or they may not know its phone number.
Corrected entry: As the space craft moves through the debris-filled rings of Saturn, you can see the ripples in the liquid that they have used in the absence of antigravity facilities.
Correction: That's deliberate. The film shows the rings of Saturn as being made of liquid. That's nonsense, but in this film's reality, it's true. (PS - Antigravity facilities?).
Corrected entry: Throughout the film, Merrick's first name is given as "John". His name was actually Joseph.
Correction: That's not a mistake. In real life, Dr. Treves constantly made the mistake of calling him John. Anyone who calls him John in the movie, doesn't know better, because Treves introduced Merrick to them.
Corrected entry: In the scene where they are on the other island that they swam across to, in the back ground where they're making out you can see the statue of "god" behind them.
Correction: They did not go to "the other island", they just went swimming in the lagoon. I'm very sure if they were on another Island, you would not see the "God" statue. Not to mention the scene continues with them on their island.
Corrected entry: When leaving the Tubby's lot, the policemen hit a student driver car. Why is there a student driver on the road at 2:00 in the morning?
Correction: Who says it's a student driver? Isn't it possible the owner or instructor of the company could be driving it? Besides, as a former instructor, we always booked lessons according to the student's schedule, so if, for example, a student worked nights, and was only available to take lessons at night, we had an instructor available for them at night. In fact, most of our classes were during the evenings and weekends to accommodate the student's schedule.
Corrected entry: Rudy and the gang plan to jam a Presidential address and substitute their commercial. Rudy informs them that the address will occur at 9PM their time. However that would require the President to begin his talk at 11PM Eastern Time.
Correction: And why couldn't the president have an address at 11:00pm? There's no law that presidents have to have an address in prime time.
Corrected entry: When Shand is told that Eric is dead, he says "You'd need a million dollar computer to understand this!" What sort of East London gangster expresses himself in dollars?
Correction: One who has just returned from the United States. One who is involved in negotiations of loans worth millions of dollars. One who has travelled and doesn't exclusively use local dialect. An intelligent, educated one who knows that saying something looks 'a million dollars' is a compliment. So, Shand, in fact.
Corrected entry: When it shows the fog rolling over the hill, there is some fog on the right side coming out of thin air.
Correction: Where else is fog supposed to come from?
Let's not forget the several scenes we had witnessed before and after of fog appearing out of nowhere, cutting off the main characters' escape, resulting in them being directed to the church. Fog appears 'out of nowhere' because that's how fog works.
Corrected entry: Clint Eastwood admits that he spent 7 years in Folsom Prison for attempted murder. This charge makes him a felon. How then, can he carry and use firearms in his traveling wild west show?
Correction: Felons can own guns in a lot of places, get a permit because it's got to do with your livelihood or, duh, just do illegally.
Corrected entry: When Loretta Lynn discovers she is pregnant (twins) and tells Patsy Cline, she says she hasn't hasn't had a baby since she was fourteen. Considering she had four other children before the twins, that would mean she must have been 8 when she had her first child. A bit confusing when she didn't get married to Dolittle Lynn until she was 14 and that was when she fell pregnant the first time.
Correction: Loretta tells Patsy that "she's been having babies since she was 14" not that "she hasn't hasn't had a baby since she was fourteen."
Corrected entry: In the first part of the film, all 5 teams have been selected through Leon's consent, therefore he has everything planned, including using gamepieces that are modeled after the teams' vehicles to represent how far they are in the game. But Harold's vehicle was a present from his father which came later in the film, after the meeting with Leon.
Correction: True about the van, but the white team's piece was a shot of the four guys riding their mopeds wearing the exact clothes they had on for the game. Most likely Leon took pictures of the teams vehicles that day and then made pieces out of them.
Correction: This is an opinion of a character choice and not a movie mistake.
