Factual error: When Mission Control talks with Challenger 2, the Spacecraft's camera feeds of the Crew are displayed up on two wall-sized TV screens. Between them is the familiar Mercator map of Earth with the ground track of a low-orbiting satellite superimposed. Challenger is nowhere near low orbit: it's out past Mars, in the Asteroid Belt. The middle screen would have a schematic of the ship's interplanetary path.
Factual error: Buck Rogers is supposed to be a Captain in the Air Force, but he is wearing Navy wings. In fact he is not even wearing Naval Aviator (pilot) wings, he is wearing Naval Flight Officer (navigator) wings.
Factual error: In 1947, when George is 14 years old his father takes him to the clinic for a physical examination. This is about 18 minutes into the movie. The nurse measures his blood pressure using a cuff that is held on with a "Velcro" hook-and-loop fastener. Velcro wasn't marketed until the early 1960's. [A new DVD was released in 2014. The sound track in this scene was edited and we can no longer hear the sound of the Velcro being unwrapped.]
Other mistake: The Onion Field is a true story about a cop who who is murdered on March 9, 1963. In the film prior to the murder one of the suspects is shown watching General Hospital on TV. GH didn't debut until April 1 1963, that almost a month after the murder happened. (00:20:55)
Continuity mistake: Kindaichi follows the gang of rollerskating thieves in their hideout. The female leader says she has a question about his book, and hands him what he identifies as his book of short stories. He's holding it with the left hand in close-up, but in the next shot it's the right hand. (00:17:40)
Continuity mistake: In the sequence where the police are chasing Sonny on Rising Star through the field there are two close ups of an officer driving a car where the image is reversed (it appears like the car is right hand drive and the logo of his shoulder patch is reversed).
Visible crew/equipment: Set lights and shadows of seemingly team members and filming equipment are reflected on the Captain's helmet throughout the film.
Visible crew/equipment: A woman runs away from a hospital. When she runs past a wrecked vehicle you can see the shadow of a camera. (01:17:00 - 01:17:50)
Other mistake: When showing the animals outside of the cabin, the shot of the deer is obviously stock footage. The video quality doesn't match the rest of the movie. (00:28:40)
Other mistake: In the opening credits the following is posted "Screenplay based on Rider Haggard's Allan Quartermain" The author's name is usually given as H. Rider Haggard (H. For Henry), and Haggard's hero was named Quatermain (1 "r" not 2). This misspelling of Quatermain appears in many movies.
Revealing mistake: When the purser's safe falls through the ceiling, the ceiling metal is far too thin. Bearing in mind also, that the on the other side of the ceiling metal is supposed to be the floor of the next deck up, and that too is a thin flimsy metal, that doesn't even appear that it could support any kind of weight.
Other mistake: Teri Lynn, the founding member of HOTS, who comes from somewhere like Arkansas or West Virginia's accent disappears from the movie several times.
Revealing mistake: When the ghost (Bugs Bunny) tells Scrooge that he is going to take him to "the man in the red suit", the ghost puts his arms up but the shadow does not.
Continuity mistake: When Grossout comes by the passed out frat guy on the steps of the house at the beginning of the movie, he temporarily revives him sprinkling beer on his face. The cans in his hand change position between shots.
Other mistake: Lauren Tewes' character is credited as "Jessie", but the name tag on her waitress outfit says "Jesse." (00:17:00)
Continuity mistake: When the first trooper falls dead on the crates at the beginning of the movie, there's a continuity error since his hand changes position on the crate between shots. (00:00:55)
Factual error: When they visit "Ireland", presumably the Irish Air Corps aerodrome in Dublin at the time of WWII, all of the staff in the bar at the aerodrome are American servicemen, in neutral Ireland.
Factual error: Harry goes to the synagogue, to go through a register his grandfather's records. But he is holding the Talmud and not a register, which is entirely and Hebrew, and he's looking at it upside down. (01:05:00 - 01:06:00)
Revealing mistake: Just before the battle between King Arthur's men and Sir Mordred's men, Trimble Tom escapes from Sir Mordred's encampment in a rocket-powered chair. As he approaches King Arthur's Castle you can see the wires supporting the chair. (01:15:45)
