Revealing mistake: When Woody and Sharon are singing their 'Ol Devil Moon' duet, Sharon starts to sit up, but then the shot suddenly changes to them both sitting up, Woody in a fade behind her as she sings.
Revealing mistake: Tommy picks up a chair and breaks it on a desk, but the chair breaks just before contact. (01:25:30)
Revealing mistake: A scene in which a group of soldiers appears to be running uphill was obviously filmed with a tilted camera because all the trees in the background are leaning at a 65-degree angle.
Revealing mistake: In the Director's Cut ending when Audrey II eats Seymour, it spits out his glasses, and they land in front of the camera. They pulled this off by having a pair of glasses inside the plant's mouth that would be yanked out by a string, and another pair of glasses would be dropped in front of the camera. However, the first pair gets caught in the teeth and fall back inside the mouth, but the other pair lands on the ground anyway.
Revealing mistake: When we first see Oliver Reed, we see his shadow first on the wall at a ramp to the pub. As his shadow spreads its legs, we then see him spreading his legs a moment later. Shadow puppetry was used by the director to give the audience the impression that he is ominous and foreboding before we ever see the man himself. (00:54:10)
Revealing mistake: When Popeye shoves the Taxman backwards, watch carefully. When the Taxman goes sliding down the ramp, just before he hits the water you can see the board that he was sliding on. Also, there is no motion from his arms, legs, or head.
Revealing mistake: Whenever Stupid Bat is flying, the wires pulling him up are visible.
Revealing mistake: During "Many a New Day", when Laurie sings "many a red sun will set" and before they all hear the Cummings girl laugh outside, Laurie and two others are looking into a mirror. The actresses are actually looking into the camera through a mirror frame, to give the illusion that we are seeing their reflections. When the girl with the long black hair joins them, you see her run in from the side, then her "reflection" in the mirror. However, if it was a real mirror, you wouldn't see her run in from the side. (00:44:00)
Revealing mistake: During the fainting scene number of the extras can be seen waving and looking at the camera.
Revealing mistake: When Pinky runs into the mirror, causing it to shatter, you can that the mirror does not shatter until Pinky falls onto the floor.
Revealing mistake: Right before Dodger walks into Georgette's room in search of Oliver, she talks to herself in the mirror. But at one point the reflection moves when she doesn't. (00:43:10)
Revealing mistake: In the intro (or one of the intros, rather), they narrate Pootie Tang's origin. A fake newspaper called "New York Pone" is shown, with the front page dedicated to baby Pootie and his invention of a new language. All fun and everything, but the prop is sloppy; you can read below the name of this fake 70s newspaper the URL of the New York Post' s website and the date in April 2001. (00:08:35)
Revealing mistake: During the first round of auditions. The gal in the yellow shorts does fine. But then suddenly during the final ballet elimination, she can't keep up with the other girls and makes mistakes before Zach kicks her off.
Revealing mistake: At the start of the montage in which Frollo ransacks Paris for the gypsy girl, the shot of the three soldiers kicking down the baker's door very briefly places the more distant soldier off to the right "in front" of the closer central soldier; this is a case of incorrect animation cel layering.
