Revealing mistake: When Eric Matthews is smashing his foot, he hits it the first time and it shows a close up. If you watch the small amount of blood when he hits it again they have used the same shot. (00:04:00)
Visible crew/equipment: When Monica is in bed with her boyfriend and they get up to dance, the whole film crew is mirrored on the glass of the window.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Watson and Adler are laying out the map, they place two objects on the map to hold it down. In the very next clip where it shows Holmes talking, you see Watson and Adler placing those same objects on the map.
Factual error: In a scene set in 1862 or 1863 Bill the Butcher says: 'An Irishman will do for a nickel what a ****** will do for a dime or a white man for a quarter'. The first nickel 5 cent piece was coined in 1866. At the time of the scene the 5 cent coin was a small silver coin called a half-dime. (01:10:00)
Other mistake: When Judith is locked in J.D. and Wayne's basement, she is first wearing a long night gown and she is chained at the ankle to an engine. Then she is given a box of clothes to use and she is next seen wearing shorts - how did she put them on if she was chained at the ankle? (00:45:10)
Continuity mistake: At the end, the paramedics are taking Samuel L. Jackson into an ambulance. His head is toward the front of the ambulance but in the next shot, Jackson's head is at the back of the ambulance. (02:08:25)
Other mistake: In the scene following the robbery, the four young men, led by Tupac Shakur and Omar Epps, run into a brick court, walled on four sides. Shakur states he's going to keep the gun, despite suggestions that they ditch it. He has a revolver stuck in his jeans, by his left hip. When he is challenged about keeping the gun, he pulls another revolver from his pocket, scuffles with one of his friends and shoots him in the chest - all the while the grip of the other identical revolver is in view.
Suggested correction: It looked like old man Quilles' gun that he must've taken off-screen after he killed him.
If you look at the movie again, Quiles' gun was a long nose revolver, Raheem's gun was a snub nose.
Continuity mistake: When Cody Banks crashes a rocket propelled snowboard into a tree, Ronica Miles meets him using a jet pack. When she lands, she unbuckles herself and all the straps are seen free. After a shot of Cody's snowboard in the tree, it goes back to Ronica and she begins unbuckling herself from the jet pack again.
Continuity mistake: When the young Chinese girl is kidnapped, while in the car, her tie is on. When she tries to fight the guy her tie is off in one shot, then back on again a few seconds later. There is also no blood after the first shot, but when the shooter opens the back door, there is blood on Soo Yung's face, but mid fight, the blood is missing, and again blood is present when she runs out. Continuity mistake: When Miss Gruwell and the students are discussing junior year for the first time, she has her back turned and she is writing on the board. When she writes, "First Person Na", she turns around before finishing the last word, but in the next shot, "First Person Narrative" is written on the board.
Continuity mistake: Kimble dyes his hair very dark to escape detection and dyed hair fades over time. For the rest of the movie his hair noticeably goes from darker shades to lighter shades and back again showing that the scenes were shot non-sequentially on different days with a fair amount of time in between.
Revealing mistake: Candace's eyes are moving and she is breathing after allegedly having been shot and killed.
Continuity mistake: The whole time sequence in the last part of the movie is messed up. After trying to nab the bad guys at the hotel, Tom Selleck goes home and puts his son to bed, then is called back in to work, and then the rest of the film is supposed to be the same evening, but it was already late night.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Stu, Phil, and Allan are retrieving the tiger back to Mike Tyson, the tiger scratches Phil. As they get out of the car, the camera has the tiger in full frame as he growls at Phil, you see chains around the tigers' neck as a leash that was never there before.
Factual error: In the final standoff, Smith shoots Hertz by holding cartridges between his fingers in the fire. This is not remotely believable. The casings, weighing much less than the bullets, would have been blasted off while the bullets themselves would have gone nowhere. (01:15:15)
Revealing mistake: When Hightower is in the Monster Truck you can see that a white stuntman is actually driving it in one of the shots.
Visible crew/equipment: Marge receives the call after the execution (the first call), waking her up. The camera tracks toward the bed, and its shadow is visible on the right side of the screen.
Continuity mistake: Jokers truck is destroyed when it flips. Shortly after, Nero is seen driving Jokers truck with the tank turret on it as opposed to the 4 barrel style gun on the back of his truck.
Visible crew/equipment: Towards the beginning of the film we see the convoy driving to Ciudad Juárez on the highway. In the reflection of the last car one can see the Russian Arm used to film the vehicles.
Plot hole: When Charlie sets out to hijack the money train, he jumps off the platform onto the tracks as it arrives, in plain sight of the driver and other passengers at the station, and only puts his mask on once he's in position on the tracks. The train conveniently stops right over top of Charlie, allowing him to enter through the conveniently-placed grate on the train's floor. (01:17:15)
