Revealing mistake: Kirsten Dunst's contact lenses can be seen multiple times during close-ups.
Revealing mistake: The movie is set in 1962, the year of Burt's first trip to Bonneville, yet a U-Haul trailer with a present-day paint scheme is shown at the salt flats.
Revealing mistake: While the soldiers are putting the corpses of Eva Braun and Adolf Hitler in the ground outside the bunker to be cremated, one of their legs moves.
Revealing mistake: When Jim is rescued from the snow (thrown over Reggie's shoulder), he moves his leg, although he is supposed to be unconscious.
Revealing mistake: Towards the end of the film when the Yankees are trying to close out Game 6 of the World Series you can tell the "real" footage they use is not from the World Series. They are playing the Atlanta Braves in the World Series but you can see the Baltimore Orioles logo on the field in a number of shots.
Revealing mistake: In the bedroom, when Cassandra asks about what Jane has been writing and Jane answers, "Just something I started in London", when Jane gets up and moves to the table, it is obvious that she is wearing a g-string under her nightgown.
Revealing mistake: The "Great Train Robbery" actually took place on a two-track railway near Cheddington - the West Coast Main Line. However, the filming took place on the Great Central Railway steam line near Loughborough, which only had one track at that time. They laid a second track for the filming, but omitted to cut down a large tree at the end of the rails, which would block the path of a train. This is blindingly obvious, especially as they show this "atmosphere shot" twice. The tree is still there the second time.
Revealing mistake: In the scene at the finals at the end of the movie, you see Tuff take off his hat and smack the bull with it but then when he is bucked off you see him take it off again.
Revealing mistake: After Whale compliments Clayton for the marvellous shape of his head, Clayton pulls faces at himself in the side mirror of his pick-up before he drives off. Considering that the camera is positioned at hip level and we see his face in the mirror he couldn't actually see himself. (00:24:40)
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Jake fights in Cleveland, in one shot right before he punches you can see his opponent's mouthpiece is taped to his head so it will fall off making it look like it came out of his mouth. In the next shot he has his mouthpiece back in his mouth.
Revealing mistake: When Eva is leaving with her suitcase, you can tell by the way she is holding the suitcase that she is ready to open it when it hits Magaldi.
Revealing mistake: Naomi opens her legs in their daughter's room and tells Jordan she's not wearing panties, but she's actually wearing some, as we can see in a shot seconds later.
Revealing mistake: After Brashear surfaces with the re-captured nuke and it is being hoisted aboard, the mast line snaps and slices Brashear's leg. At the very moment the piece of metal cuts him, you can see the pant-leg switch from tan to white and back to tan.
Revealing mistake: While Frost is on the hotel balcony talking on the phone to Brennan, it is clear the phone receiver is not attached to anything.
Revealing mistake: When Norman MacLean drops off Neal Burns after he falls asleep naked in the sun, Neal gets out of the car still naked with his clothes bundled in front of him. The camera angle switches to the rear view and the sunburn makeup on his back makes it look like he was wearing a bikini. His butt and back must have touched the car seat and rubbed off the makeup.
Revealing mistake: When Beverly is trying two throw herself down the stairs after she finds out she's pregnant, the padding on her behind to go down stairs shows through her pajamas. (00:30:40)
Revealing mistake: When Mark Wahlberg removes the shrapnel from his leg, it is pretty obvious that it is a fake leg. If you look at and compare its dimensions to the rest of his body, you can see that that would be the leg of a giant man. The thigh is way too long, and the whole leg is way too big for his body. You can also tell by his body posture that his real leg goes into the couch he is sitting on.
Revealing mistake: Back at his NAACP homebase, Marshall meets with the boss who is already sending him to deal with another case. In the close-up of the newspaper he's reading, check out between the actor's fingers. You can tell that half of the article, which begins in English, suddenly switches into Latin 'lorem ipsum' filler text. (00:06:20)
Revealing mistake: Very poor diopter work on the Las Vegas stage: the audience is "split in half", one part very blurry behind DeVito's head, and the other half crisp and clear.
Revealing mistake: In one of the last scenes of the movie when the Younger Generation visits George they drive into the scene in their old jalopy Chevrolet. The only problem is, from the front end shot, anyone can see that the body moldings and lines of the car body don't line up with the hood. Also the gas filler cap is visible, in the same shot, on top of the cowl right under the windshield, revealing they hung the front end of a Chevrolet on the front of a Model "A" Ford Deluxe Phaeton. The only car ever produced with a gas tank filler on the cowl right in front of the windshield - Model "A" Fords. Chevys had too much wood in them during the '20s & '30s. They all ended up being infested with termites. So when this movie was made just 10 or 11 years after they were all produced, no Chevys could be found for filming. Chevy Emblem is visible on the radiator shell, but it's a Ford Model "A". Also the four distinctive vent doors available on Chevys, from the day, are visible instead of the louvers of a Model "A" Ford hood. The Cowl Lamps (Parking Lights) are also Model "A". Suggested correction: She is teasing him, goading him, trying to make him find out for himself whether she is going commando or not.
No, she is not. She spreads her legs and reveals to him she isn't wearing any panties and then tells him he's not allowed to touch her. What would be the point of goading him to make him wonder if she is going commando when she's very deliberately flashing her privates at him?
