Revealing mistake: The ball Lou Gehrig hits that smashes a window doesn't come off his bat. It comes from behind him.
Revealing mistake: In an early scene Cole and his future wife watch fireworks over Paris through a doorway overlooking a balcony. The explosions are reflected on the glass of the open door, which is at an angle to the POV. But the CGI fireworks and their reflection in the glass are squashed to fit into the foreshortened pane of glass. In reality the reflected image would be like any mirror, with the image inverted left-for-right.
Revealing mistake: The overhead shot of Aron swimming at the end of the film shows him having two full arms.
Revealing mistake: Have a look at some of the beards (and wigs) in this movie, the facial hair is coming loose on several of the disciples' beards.
Revealing mistake: When Liam Neeson is on the boat on his return from England there is a shot of the water and part of the boat where you can see a modern CCTV camera on the side of one of the masts - rather advanced for the time the film was set. (01:21:20)
Revealing mistake: At the beginning of the voyage, in the shot where the camera pans around the ships (just after the scene when the sail is being unfurled) we can see a jet airliner contrail mark on the sky.
Revealing mistake: When Melanie, Tracy, Evie and Brady are in town, people can be seen stopping to watch the actors/look at the camera. (00:53:35)
Revealing mistake: In the scene where the women are laying in their bunks in the work camp and one lady is describing what she heard about the horrors of other concentration camps, at the end one woman puts up her hands to her face. You can see her fingernails are neatly manicured, something you'd think wouldn't be possible in a forced labor camp.
Revealing mistake: When Britt and Peter are having sex, it is obvious she is wearing flesh coloured underwear.
Revealing mistake: While Barnum and Phillip are singing "The Other Side" Phillip knocks over the first stool then steps on its side, and in this closeup we can see the extra two flat bars attached between the legs, for him to easily step on. We also see that the stool's seat is perfectly round in the closeup, but in previous and following shots, such as when Carlyle jumps off the bar then grabs his hat, one side of the seat has been cut to allow it to rest flat on the floor while on its side. Presumably, the closeup was digitally edited to make the seat appear round. (00:38:05)
Revealing mistake: During the initial breakout of the Gladiatorial training school an armed guard is stabbed on a balcony and falls to the arena below. He gets up and walks into the doorway adjacent to where he had fallen, apparently satisfied that his part was completed.
Revealing mistake: When FDR is getting put in the pool at warm springs for the first time, you can see see his normal legs and they have not been done over by CGI, to look as though he has suffered through polio.
Revealing mistake: After Jesus saves the woman from being stoned to death, members of the crowd drop their stones, but the stones bounce back up when they hit the ground.
Revealing mistake: In Garabedien's office, supposedly in Boston, the top shelves are full of the Dominion Law Reports, all Canadian legal cases, with the Canadian publisher's name prominently displayed. Below that is long shelf of environmental law reports, an odd thing in a criminal lawyer's office.
Revealing mistake: Just before the start of the final game which is supposed to be in December we see several shots of the parking lot where it is snowing cold and obviously winter, but yet just before the game starts the camera shows a wide shot of the stadium where you can see rows and rows of lush green trees in the background.
Revealing mistake: When Griet has her left ear pierced in order to wear the earring for the portrait, the cloth covering her hair and ears stops just short of covering a well-healed hole in her already pierced right ear.
Revealing mistake: The same extras can be seen in several different crowd scenes. Specifically, the same people can be seen in the crowd that storms the computer fair and in the auditorium when Steve Jobs makes his final speech.
Revealing mistake: When Alferd runs from the saloon with a lynch mob behind him, we can see a line in the dirt ahead of him that serves as a marker for where he is supposed to run.
Revealing mistake: When Howard is reading the book about how to "score with babes" his lines are on a piece of paper on the page. You can see this by the different color papers. (00:46:25)
Revealing mistake: When the stretcher is being lowered down on the line, the high tension steel wires can be seen under the hessian rope.
Suggested correction: I don't see this as an error, because just before they lower him down, it is obvious that they have rigged a tripod and cable at a much lesser angle than straight down the face of the cliff. Once the cleanup phase started, additions like this would have been normal to remove the dead and wounded.
I am 100% certain this is an error.
The stretcher is seen lowered down hung from ropes tied at each corner, which would have really happened. Obviously this wouldn't meet safety requirements for filming, so they've "hidden" steel cables in the rope. The error is that the cables and the screw-in anchors in the stretcher are visible. Also the rope on some of the corners is visibly slack as a result.
This doesn't refer to the tripod and cable rig. Just as the stretcher starts moving, the camera shows it moving off to the left with the other soldiers watching on. One of the soldiers is holding one of the ropes that attach to the stretcher. When he lets go, it reveals that the rope is frayed, revealing the steel wire that is threaded through the rope. It's the wire that's attached to the stretcher, not the rope.
