Revealing mistake: When Kalidor lifts Prince Tarn into the air with one arm, the cables attached to Tarn's back are visible.
Factual error: On the bus ride in Nepal, they're playing a Hindi song from an Indian movie (Kabhi Khushiyan Kabhi Gham) that was released in 2001. The time frame on the bus is 1996.
Continuity mistake: In this scene we see John Wayne and others milking goats. The goats then get startled by a baby elephant and Wayne falls backwards on to the ground and you can see he takes the bowl with his right hand and the milk is thrown out of the bowl. In the next shot of him close up the bowl is on his head like a helmet when the bowl never even went on his head as he fell backwards. (01:09:20)
Continuity mistake: At Skull Rock, after the crocodile has nipped off a good bit of Hook's clothing, sock and shoe, when Hook rushes toward Smee in the boat the crocodile opens his mouth, and just as he swallows Hook he's nearly fully clothed and wearing both socks and both shoes.
Continuity mistake: When Smee gives Hook his nightcap drink, Hook takes it in his hand and holds it at the top of the goblet so that it is hidden under his hand. But in the very next shot he is holding it by the handle and the whole goblet is now visible with a small black umbrella sticking out the top. Additionally, the position of the small umbrella that sits in the goblet changes a few times. (01:02:40)
Factual error: Aquaman lifts a submerged submarine towards the surface, which should start to sink again straight after releasing it, as its ballast tanks are still full of water. It shouldn't stay floating like that.
Factual error: After Watney patches the blow out of one of the HAB's airlocks with plastic sheeting, tie down straps, and duct tape, he pressurizes the HAB and the plastic sheeting pushes out like an inflated balloon. Assuming the plastic and duct tape would hold this is correct, however the plastic would be much more taut given the pressure difference inside and outside.
Suggested correction: The plastic would certainly be flexing in and out because of the pressure of the wind gusts during the storm. We saw earlier that the gusts of the storms were strong enough to blow a suited explorer off their feet and push them across the surface. Let's say that the HAB is pressurized as much as it can be without blowing out of the plastic, tape, and bungees sealing the airlock. A storm gust would still be able to push the flexible plastic in momentarily, and it would pop back out after the gust passed.
The movie took liberties with the physics of Mars. The gusts on Mars wouldn't be able to blow over a person or a spaceship, let alone push them across the surface, but they needed it for the plot. But using the same physics they then have wedded themselves to, it could then be strong enough to cause the plastic to flap, even though in real life it wouldn't. This is more of a deliberate mistake than a factual error since the writers certainly knew what they did didn't match reality.
Except they didn't 'wed' themselves to their fictional physics. Towards the end of the film NASA tells Watney that a flimsy plastic covering on his ascent vehicle will not be dislodged on acceleration to Martian escape velocity because the atmosphere is too thin to cause any problems. That's cheating in anyone's books.
Other mistake: At the end of the show when the misfit toys are being delivered, the elf in Santa's sleigh gives an umbrella to each of the misfits so they can glide down with the exception of the bird, who jumps off, apparently forgetting that he is a misfit toy and can't fly; as he stated earlier in the show, he can only swim.
Continuity mistake: On the small sand spit, when Jack, Elizabeth and Barbossa meet with Will, Beckett, and Davy Jones, the leather cuff Jack wears on his right hand actually disappears and reappears twice during the meeting.
Continuity mistake: In a scene towards the end of the movie, where Bond and Vesper are lying on the beach, Bond has sand on his back throughout most of the scene. When they start to kiss, in the distant shot towards the end of the scene, he has no sand on his back at all. (01:57:10)
Visible crew/equipment: You can see the string that pulls Bubba off the bike when Max shoots him. (01:19:41)
Continuity mistake: Tom and Huck have just swore they won't tell about the murder. Tom writes an oath, and Tom and Huck slit their fingers to sign it in blood. Tom, slits the index finger on his right hand. He signs the oath, however, with his index finger on his LEFT hand.
Continuity mistake: In the scene just before the final attack on the castle, D'Artangan is surrounded by his fellow Musketeers. He gets off his horse and while doing so there is a tight close up where you see clearly that he is wearing his Musketeer outfit that he threw down on the floor in the previous scene. When he finishes talking to the horse (and he is back in his normal clothes) Porthos hands him the Musketeer uniform, which D'Artangan then puts on. (01:20:45)
Continuity mistake: When Sonic and Tails are fighting metal Robotnik, he shoots glue at Tail's tail. Tails says he can't fly to help Sonic, but when he gets the piece of concrete to surf across the water on you can see that his tails are not glued together.
Continuity mistake: In the second half of the film, Frodo has a scar on his lower right cheek, close to his chin. Many times throughout the rest of the film the scar changes position and size on his right cheek. It also appears on his left cheek in flipped shots (most obviously on the slopes of Mount Doom when Sam is cradling his head). (02:31:05 - 02:34:00)
Continuity mistake: Nick Cage is chasing Mason in the yellow Ferrari. The windshield breaks at least twice, but is perfect in the next shot. (00:45:55)
Revealing mistake: In the shooting scene in the Mount Rushmore cafe, a boy in the background puts his fingers in his ears, because he knows the gun is about to be shot.
Continuity mistake: When the two brothers are frantically trying to get out of the car because the monster truck is barreling toward them (in slo-mo), you will notice that the tongue ring is missing from the one brother's tongue. Odd mistake seeing as his character is centered around the tongue ring. (01:27:05)
Factual error: Gary Sinise looks at a computer screen with a short section (about two full twists) of DNA on it and proclaims that "This DNA looks human." He could have been looking at DNA from any single-celled organism and it would have looked just as human as what he was looking at. All mammals have 90+ percent of their DNA in common, he would have to have sequenced the entire DNA strand (something like 3 billion pairs of nucleotides) to identify it as human, something that would be totally beyond the capacity of anything but a well-equipped genetics lab, something they show no sign of having.
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Bond is trapped in Largo's shark-infested pool, he uses his mini air tank to breathe. In most of the subsequent shots, look closely at the actor's face - it looks a lot more like a stuntman than Sean Connery. (01:20:20)
