Factual error: Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock's "It Takes Two" was not released until 1988. This movie takes place in 1987.
Factual error: Aquaman lifts a submerged submarine towards the surface, which should start to sink again straight after releasing it, as its ballast tanks are still full of water. It shouldn't stay floating like that.
Continuity mistake: When Klaue is being rescued by Erik, the amount of blood from his face wound changes between shots.
Factual error: During the plane ride into France, the Paratroopers are holding/carrying their weapons by their sides. In reality, their weapons (M1 Garands, B.A.R.s, etc.) would be carried in special "bags" strapped to their parachute harness. This not only protected their weapons, but also secured them to their person.
Plot hole: Being transported from the west of Costa Rica all the way to Northern California by ship would take about a week. Are we to assume that Owen, Claire and Franklin were staying put in the back of the truck the whole time undetected? They would have to eat and use the restroom, at least.
Suggested correction: Maybe they did have to sneak around but the director thought making us watch Owen sneaking away at night to take a whiz wasn't really important to the plot.
It was established in the plot's timeline that the ship travelled overnight. A ship like this travels at about 12 knots and would take for them about 9 days to complete that voyage.
Continuity mistake: When the girl gives Litwak her phone to show him there is a replacement part on eBay, her phones shows that it is connected to WiFi. Litwak doesn't set up his router until later that evening, he has only plugged it in. (00:09:41)
Suggested correction: It's possible she's either connected to wifi at another nearby business, using a public wifi signal, or using a friend's phone as a hotspot.
Factual error: The country of Pakistan was shown to be part of the G12 summit member countries. But the G12 are Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and USA. (13 countries, but the name was never changed when Switzerland joined in 1984).
Continuity mistake: Near the start when Wade and Vanessa are discussing families, in most shots facing her she's got her thumb lying along his jawline, but in most shots facing him it's sticking up by his ear.
Continuity mistake: On the spaceship, Peter is talking to Tony, and has his hair swept back with gel or similar. When he says "You can't be a friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man if there's no neighbourhood", we cut to Tony then back, and Peter now has a fringe with no gel. In later shots it's back how it was before.
Continuity mistake: During the getaway in the 4-door olive-green BMW, in one shot, the driver's headrest is bent forward; in the next shot, it is shown back in the straight-up position.
Plot hole: In all scenes where special or heavy items are used against the sixers, they are 'zeroed' in waves or circles. This can be seen by their stations turning red in clusters. This makes no sense as the stations have fixed positions, meaning that the sixers would have identical positions in the Oasis and have no freedom or own will to move relative to each other.
Suggested correction: From a military point of view it makes perfect sense. AOE weapons would be most likely to hit members of the same squads, companies or battalions. It would make sense for squad mates in the oasis to stick together in stations as well. I just watched that scene. As long as the Sixers are trained soldiers or players it makes perfect sense.
Other mistake: When Elastigirl is chasing the high-speed train, as she is in the middle of making her second final jump to reach the train, if one were to look closely, the train actually drives right past her before she lands. (00:31:40)
Other mistake: Davis tells Kate to go and she jumps out of the falling plane, her chute opening. Davis then takes a minute to free Harvey from the plane as it's still falling before they both get out. Once they are free falling he takes a few seconds before he pulls their chutes as well. However as they are coming down close to the plane crash site, Kate is near level with them in altitude as they are all coming down together. With how high she was when she jumped out compared to the time it took for Davis and Harvey to get out of the plane and open their chutes, she would have been several minutes behind them in the sky, not right next to them. (00:47:45 - 00:49:05)
Suggested correction: She jumped first and would have already descended in altitude. Then the guys jump and freefalled and pulled their chutes so it is plausible they caught up to her altitude when their chutes opened.
Continuity mistake: When Kate is hanging on to the sleigh as it takes off she is holding on with one hand. Camera changes and now she is holding on with both.
Continuity mistake: Meg starts the trip wearing a red flannel shirt over a blue cardigan over a gray T-shirt. Along the way she first drops the flannel shirt, then the cardigan (the color of which seemed to have gained saturation). She's not seen carrying them or any bag that might have held them. When she finally faces It, all the clothes are back on. Calvin's case is even more evident: he starts with a jacket over a red shirt, ends up with a just a now-gray T-shirt (matching Meg's) but is back with jacket and red shirt at the end.
Continuity mistake: At the school, when Scott's suit is malfunctioning and he's big in the janitor's closet, his head is tilted towards his right shoulder. When Hope is working on the suit, we see Scott's head is now tilted towards his left shoulder, even though he's stuck and wouldn't have been able to move around like that. But in the next shot it's back to his right.
Continuity mistake: As Keda is tumbling down the face of the cliff, he smacks against a small ledge on his way down before hitting a second ledge and then landing on a third. But as the camera goes down the face of the cliff from the top of it, the two ledges he hit on the way down are gone, showing a mostly flat face. (00:28:20)
Continuity mistake: As Lara is headed up to the boat's pilot house, she obviously leaves the hatch open, but a far away shot shows the door closed again, as she's climbing the ladder. When she goes back down, it's suddenly open again. You could claim it's the rocking of the boat, but as she's grabbing her gear, the door stays open.
Continuity mistake: During the fight at Aunt May's house, May knocks Tombstone out of the house with a bat. The subsequent shots have him back in the house.
Continuity mistake: When Jake is serving the cream he uses his left hand, then right, then left again between shots.
