Factual error: During the meeting with American prisoners the lone woman says she's fought in both the European and Pacific theaters. Unless I'm mistaken, nobody got shipped from one to another during the war unless one theater was done.
Sanford and Son (1972)
1 factual error in Sergeant Gork
Starring: Redd Foxx, Demond Wilson, Don Bexley, LaWanda Page
Genres: Comedy
Revealing mistake: Fred is reading from "The Joanna Rhodes Beauty Book" and the title is shown on the dust cover. When Fred tilts the book, though, the words "Winston S. Churchill" are visible on the actual book under the dust cover. Also visible is the script from which the actor is reading, tucked inside the book and held by clips.
Lamont Sanford: You know what they say, the truth will set you free.
Fred Sanford: Your uncle Edgar told the truth, and the judge gave him six months.
Trivia: Throughout the series, a number of times Fred mentions "Pluto water." It was a popular strongly laxative natural water product that was sold until 1971, when production and sales halted because lithium, one of the mineral salts, was declared a controlled substance. Sanford and Son debuted in 1972, so Fred couldn't have had this product throughout the series.
