Souls of the Departed - S5-E12
Corrected entry: In the graveyard scene while Emma is summoning Captain Hook, large orange cones billowing with fog smoke can be easily seen. The cones are strategically placed throughout the graveyard to produce the eerie fog sequences but are easily seen in many shots. (00:29:00)
Corrected entry: When Snow White, Prince Charming, Emma and Regina are in the sheriff's station right after Regina was attacked by the soul sucker, Charming states that Regina is the only one with a problem. Snow White calls him "David" in disbelief that he'd let her just be killed, though at this time he is no longer David, but James. (00:28:30)
Correction: No, Snow White is actually calling Prince Charming by his real name. As explained in 2-13 "Tiny", Prince Charming's real name is David, the same as his Storybrooke counterpart during the dark curse. As seen in 1-6 "The Shepherd", James was the name of Charming's twin brother, who was adopted by King George. After Prince James died, Charming was forced to take his place, and therefore adopted his twin brother's name. Also, it is worth noticing that even after the curse is broken, Snow White and Prince Charming often refer to themselves, and each other, by their cursed names. It is a way of showing their real and alternate personas coming together.
Corrected entry: In this episode The Evil Queen tells Belle that true love's kiss could break the Dark One's curse. Since arriving at Storybrooke Belle and Mr. Gold have kissed many times, and yet the curse is still not broken.
Correction: In 5-02 "The Price", the Darkness itself explains to Emma that true love's kiss will not break the Dark One's curse if the Dark One does not want to give up the power. In this episode, Belle also explains to Hook, that the true love's kiss that she and Rumplestiltskin (Mr. Gold) shared in "Skin Deep" worked at first, but Rumple got scared of a life without power and chose power over love, and the Darkness regained it's power over him forever. As she puts it: "It is no longer a curse when the afflicted wants it."
Corrected entry: When Anna arrives at Prince Charming's door, she asks if his name is David and he confirms. David is his post-curse name. At that time, he would have gone by James. (00:01:30)
Correction: As explained in 2-13 "Tiny", Prince Charming's real name is David, the same as his Storybrooke counterpart during Regina's curse. As seen in 1-6 "The Shepherd", James is the name of Charming's twin brother, who was adopted by King George. After Prince James died, Charming was forced to take his place, and therefore adopted the name James.
The Doctor - S2-E5
Corrected entry: When the group is approaching the camp at the beginning of the episode, Snow says "All true. Just leave the particulars to us." Even though she is several meters away from the camera, you can see that her lips are not moving. (00:00:35)
Correction: If you listen closely, you can hear that it's actually Emma who says this, not Snow.
Corrected entry: In the diner scene, Emma is talking to Mary Margaret about her stalking David Nolan. After Mary Margaret says he comes in at 7:15 every morning for coffee, Emma adds, "Graham and his wife." Not only are they supposed to be talking about the Nolans, but Graham is dead at this point.
Correction: She actually says "For him and his wife", not Graham and his wife.
The Thing You Love Most - S1-E2
Corrected entry: Emma is evicted from Granny's inn because of a 'no felons' policy. But since Emma was only arrested, and not convicted, she's not a felon.
Correction: Granny wasn't talking about her being a felon because of getting arrested in Storybrook, Emma was arrested and convicted as a felon roughly 11 years ago.
Corrected entry: Hades states that Zeus is his older brother when actually he was the youngest among the first twelve gods. So Hades is older than Zeus. (00:27:55)
Correction: In Greek mythology, yes, but not in Once Upon a Time: The show freely adapts the source material, with numerous drastic changes to the original: The Queen of Hearts is the mother of The Evil Queen from "Snow White" and the Wicked Witch of the West, The Crocodile is the son of Peter Pan, Red Riding Hood and the wolf are one and the same, Peter Pan is a villain, etc.
Not only that, but it comes from the 1997 Disney film "Hercules" in which Zeus is the older brother. Which only compounds the mythology problem since Hercules is the son of Jupiter and Heracles is the son of Zeus. So Disney is just continuing its own mythology story.
Correction: This is not a mistake. The Underworld is full of such smoking cones, and they can be seen in several episodes. For example, in the first scene of "Labor of Love", the camera pans to a close-up of a cone, and then goes down the cone, to reveal the underground prison below. The cones seem to be some form of ventilation from the underground levels, where Hades dwells - the pit of hell, so to speak.
