Continuity mistake: Inside the Mega Shadow once they fire on The Lexx, it shows the hologram of the two ships. The Mega Shadow being the purple figure with the Lexx the large green and yellow one. But in the next shot it shows that the Lexx is facing the Mega Shadow. Then again inside the Mega Shadow the hologram shows the purple ship to its side. (01:27:15)
Continuity mistake: After they get through the Fractal Core and Kai defeats His Shadow, the Mega Shadow starts firing on The Lexx. In one shot it shows 790's head still on the foot rest of the Lexx's control chair. Yet in the next shot he's suddenly on the ground. (01:27:05)
Continuity mistake: When Kai and His Divine Shadow face off in the room of the Predecessors, Kai backs up and you can see the body of the Cluster Lizard he killed earlier behind him. But in a couple of shots it's suddenly in front of him. (01:24:00)
Continuity mistake: Stanley holds 790's head while the robot gives The Lexx the coordinates from Stanley's tooth. As 790 first starts talking, it shows in a close up that Stanley is holding him where 790 is facing forward. But in the next shot he's suddenly holding him where he's looking straight up into the air. Also Stanley's right hand goes from holding 790 to picking at his own mouth between shots. (01:20:40)
Continuity mistake: After Stanley tells Xev about the map inside his tooth, she reaches for his face to pull the tooth out and it shows her hand on top of Stanley's hand against his cheek. But in the next shot her hand is in front of his mouth in front of Stanley's hand. (01:19:25)
Continuity mistake: After Kai kills the Cluster Lizard he finds attacking the Divine Predecessors, he walks over and picks up a part of one of their brains as it transfers a faint memory into him. His hand turns sideways as he holds the brain part, but when it cuts to a different angle his hand is turned down again. (01:17:00)
Continuity mistake: When Stanley starts trying to make out with Xev on The Lexx after they destroy the outpost, Giggerota is watching from behind the Lexx's control chair and has her hand up on the edge of it. When it cuts to a different angle before Xev pounces on Stanley to try and eat him, Giggerota's hand changes positions to further down on the chair. (01:12:30)
Continuity mistake: Kai's severed arm grabs Thodin's invisible leg which is what helps Kai find him. Kai's arm was in front of Thodin and when Kai kills him, Thodin falls forward face first. Then in the next shots as the camera pans over Kai's severed head and arm before he reaches down to pick them up, there is no sign of Thodin's body at all. It should have been right next to Kai's arm and head since it fell forward. (01:02:45)
Continuity mistake: After Kai shows up on the walkway and kills the long haired guy, his body falls down onto the walkway with a thud. You can see by how his body moves and falling into the center of the walkway and his leg rising up into camera that he does not roll off the walkway. However after Thodin and the other guy shoot at Kai but unfazed him, it shows Kai walking along the path and there is not a trace of the long haired guy to be seen. (00:57:00)
Continuity mistake: After Stanley and Xev join Thodin and his men on the walkway to The Lexx, the guy in Thodin's crew with the long hair is walking in the back of the line. When the camera cuts to an angle from behind the group, the long haired guy completely vanishes. (00:55:55)
Continuity mistake: Thodin and his crew come across Xev and Stanley at the Special Projects elevator, they have their guns drawn on them. Thodin recognizes Stanley and lowers his arm. But then in the shot when Stanley starts to walk towards him his arm is raised again. (00:55:20)
Continuity mistake: After Xev and Stanley get on the Special Projects elevator, it cuts to Giggerota finding The Lexx. She looks up to see a Cluster Lizard rolling along a walkway towards The Lexx. It cuts back to her for not even a second and then shows her climbing out on to the walkway and start walking along it with the camera angle the same as when it shown the Lizard, only now it's completely vanished. Though you can still hear the sound of it rolling. (00:54:00)
Continuity mistake: Once 790 opens the door for Xev and Stanley, they come face to face with a couple of Cluster Lizards. Stanley grabs Xev by the shoulders and his left hand shows his fingers wrapped around her shoulder. In the next shot from in front though, his fist is balled and behind her shoulder. (00:48:00)
Continuity mistake: When the 1255s draw their weapons on Xev and Stanley once they corned at a door, Xev grabs Stanley to use him as a human shield and in that shot the 1255s are not reflected in the glass of the door. It cuts back to the robots as they fire their plasma blasts and then back to Xev and Stanley moving out of the way and suddenly the 1255s are seen reflected in the glass of the door. (00:46:55)
Continuity mistake: After Xev starts to run from the 1255s and it shows Stanley walking towards a door. There is a wanted screen of his picture on the right side as he turns around. When the camera cuts to a different angle, the screen suddenly jumps to the other side of the hallway. (00:46:35)
Continuity mistake: After Xev kicks the 790 head away and she walks off, 790 controls a small claw vehicle ground thing to come to him. It drives with the claw at the back moving forward towards 790. But in the shot of it pulling up and stopping at 790, it's suddenly turned 180° with the claw side moving forward. (00:45:50)
Continuity mistake: When Xev first bumps into Stanley in a hallway, she is met by two larger 1255 robots and she is walking along the side of the hall right next to the wall. But it cuts to a different angle and suddenly she's in the center of the hall. (00:46:05)
Continuity mistake: After the Cluster Lizard eats the body of a 790 in the chamber where Xev is being transformed into a sex slave, it tosses the 790's head onto a desk facing the camera. A couple of shots later as the 790's eyes turn on, the face design noticeably changes. With the holes appearing on the sides of the mouth and the cheek bone parts become sunken in with valleys. Also a smudge appears above the right eye. (00:43:45)
Continuity mistake: As Giggerota is being drawn near to the organ cutters, it shows the small spinning saws already out circling their respective organ guides. But then in other shots from behind as her table is approaching it shows the saws are not out yet. (00:42:55)
Continuity mistake: When Giggerota says she's about to die to Thodin, it shows her prisoner table almost right at the organ cutters, only a couple feet away and moving towards it. When Thodin decides to finally free her he takes his time breaking her free and the table is hardly moving. They have time for a brief quick banter when she refuses to help and then goes into the organ cutter and down the hole before the table reaches it. When the table in the previous shot showed it only being about 2 seconds away from the cutters. (00:43:05)
Answer: From what I'm seeing, the answer seems simple. The robotic heads allow the control of the body they need. However, no mater how advanced you make a robot's body, it will never quite be as flexible and versatile in it's movements and actions as a flesh and blood human body can be in most cases. And if they do put the effort into creating a robotic body with the capabilities they need, and be durable enough to last... it would cost a lot of money. The Cluster has a large influx of constant prisoners that they use for feeding the Lexx and other needs, so human bodies are easy to come by and in vast quantities. Them simply producing robotic heads with the ability to interface with the human nervous system and placing them on the decapitated bodies of expendable prisoners is a hell of a lot more cost effective and easier to do with the technology they have. It's just a cheaper, more effective option for them to have thousands fo 790 Units in production and use without the cost of manufacturing a fully functional and durable robotic body for them.
