I Worship His Shadow - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: As the prisoner transport ship is unloading in a shot from behind Stanley at his station, several of the prisoner frame things holding them are being moved along the line. And Xev can be seen back a ways in the line, identifiable by her fat body in the white wedding dress. There are at least six other prisoners on the line in front of her. But then as the line stops when reaching the Holo Court, Xev is suddenly second in line with only one person before her. The woman in the blue body suit is still behind her though so she also moved up to be third in line. (00:22:20 - 00:23:10)

Continuity mistake: As the prisoner line is moving, it shows Xev with a guy in front of her who's very skinny and wearing a black hat. When they reach the Holo Court the guy in front of her is suddenly a different guy, who's fatter and has no hat on. (00:22:35 - 00:23:15)

Continuity mistake: As the prisoners are being moved off the transport and are strapped to these large metal frames, the frames move along a railing in a fixed position to each other, and also have a chain linked between each one running along the railing. One of the prisoners recognizes Stanley and starts shouting when his frame breaks loose. The camera shows a close up of the bar connecting his frame to the railing as some parts break out of it before it falls, and the chain that is connecting them has vanished. (00:22:50)

Revealing mistake: When the prisoner on the line recognizes Stanley and starts shouting, his frame breaks loose and he falls down. It leans forward and falls to the ground splattering the prisoner all over the floor, but as it is falling, it hits against the frame in front of him which has Xev tied to it. It pushes the bottom of Xev's frame up making it swing and hit the frame in front of her, and enough that it would have crushed where her feet were. But there is nothing to stop the metal from touching the metal frame in front of it revealing that for that shot there was nobody on that frame. (00:22:55)

Continuity mistake: As the front of the prisoner line reaches the Holo Court, a 790 Unit is pushing some equipment out towards them to read their memories and stops, waiting for the first to reach him. But then a few shots later as the line stops, the same 790 unit is suddenly pushing the equipment to that spot once again, and also his shadow cast in front of the line disappears. (00:23:05)

Continuity mistake: On the prisoner transport line, they are each held in a fixed position in the line as they move along the railing towards the Holo Court. The man between Xev and the woman dressed in blue falls off the rails and is splattered on the ground, leaving a gap in the line between Xev and the blue woman. When they are shown again as the first person reaches the Holo Court, there is suddenly no gap between these two women. (00:23:15)

Continuity mistake: As the line of prisoners is reaching the Holo Court, it shows a single 790 Unit pushing out some equipment towards them, and only him. It cuts to Xev for a moment then back to the Holo Court and suddenly, as the camera pans over, a second 790 Unit appears standing next to the Court. (00:23:20)

Continuity mistake: During the first prisoner's trial at the Holo Court, a 790 Unit is operating the memory search machine to use as evidence against the criminal. He is shown standing next to it several times to operate the buttons, activate the switch, and control the memory video feed back. However, in one shot from the side view of the prisoner, the 790 Unit has vanished from next to the machine, but is back again moments later to hit the switch sending the prisoner on his way to his death. Continuity mistake: The first prisoner is moved up to the Holo Court and has his memories searched for incriminating evidence. Once they find the memory of him refusing to pay the temple, it shows the hand of the 790 Unit operating the machine pressing a button, and next to his hand is a switch that is in the down position. Once the Holo Judge passes sentence on the man, it cuts back to this spot again, but now the switch is in the up position with the 790 reaching out to flip it down, which causes the rail to switch over and put the prisoner on the track to get his organs cut out. (00:24:15 - 00:24:55)

Plot hole: As the first prisoner is being pulled towards the organ cutter, you see on the wall the exact shape of the body organs for the brain, lungs, heart, liver, stomach, kidneys and testicles/ovaries that serve as guides and a track for tiny saw blades to come out and cut into the person's body to harvest these organs. The problem is these are in a fixed position, which might work for some people. However people are different sizes, shapes, and heights and most wouldn't match up to these blade guides. So a good majority of the people they cut apart to harvest organs out of wouldn't even give them good ones as the blades would cut into the organs and ruin them. (00:25:20)

Continuity mistake: When the first prisoner is put into the organ chopper thing, a splat of blood from him lands on Xev's face. It cuts to a shot of the prisoner's brain and other organs falling into the collection sink for a moment then back to Xev. And between these shots the blood splat on her face grows longer and moves up on her face and neck. (00:25:40)

Continuity mistake: Right after the first prisoner is gutted and has his organs harvested, the scene changes to Stanley heading towards the correctional facility to speak with the guard at the desk. He walks down the hall and is seen approaching the desk from the right, but in the next shot he's approaching the desk from the left, and the person that was walking next to the desk in the previous shot vanishes. Revealing mistake: When it's Xev's turn at the Holo Court, the memory machine plugs into her head and starts playing her memories of her arranged wedding. The machine is showing video of her memories through her eyes. However in the video when she punches her would be husband in the face, the side and part of the back of her head comes into view on screen. Which doesn't make sense unless she's able to see her own back of her head. (00:29:10)

Continuity mistake: When Thodin is brought before the Holo Court in his scorpion like walker, a hook comes down and attaches itself to a latch on the top of the stinger of his walker, which hoists him away moments later. However in the CGI rendering of the walker as it approaches the Holo Court, this latch on top of its stinger is missing. (00:30:15)

Continuity mistake: As the stadium is shown before Thodin's walker is lowered into it, there is a panning shot showcasing the place. Then moments later from another aerial view the stadium's design is very different. Extra lights appear around the center, the layers of spectator sections doubles, and the general design of the center area changes a lot. (00:31:20 - 00:32:40)

Continuity mistake: When Thodin is set down in the stadium, the Holo Prosecutor appears as a hologram with dimensions. But in the shot when the screen appears with the trainer on it, the Holo Prosecutor is suddenly show to also be shown through a screen with her regular hologram gone, then moments later she is a hologram once more. Continuity mistake: Thodin is brought and set down in Cobalt Stadium to have his public trial and execution, and is set down inside his bug-like walker. As it opens up, it reveals his arms are strapped to the insides and it opening forces him to spread his arms wide, with the walker opening very wide leaving him in a near sitting down T pose. He then looks around a moment at the Holo Prosecutor and the the camera cuts back to him. Suddenly the walker isn't opened nearly as wide, leaving his arms closer together. (00:31:50)

Continuity mistake: When the Bug Bomb is crawling out of Thodin's nose, it's design and body shape is noticeably different than when seen in closes ups later while on electrical components searching for a signal, especially the head. Also going by scaling of the floor when Stanley swats it to the ground as well as when it's visible flying around Stanley's head, the size of it is bigger after it leaves Thodin's nose and would not have fit. Question: Why do the robot heads get attached to human bodies?? Doesn't make sense when you consider how much more advanced they could make robot bodies for such. Also, why not put human brains in robot bodies? We know they have that ability.

dizzyd

Answer: From what I'm seeing, the answer seems simple. The robotic heads allow the control of the body they need. However, no mater how advanced you make a robot's body, it will never quite be as flexible and versatile in it's movements and actions as a flesh and blood human body can be in most cases. And if they do put the effort into creating a robotic body with the capabilities they need, and be durable enough to last... it would cost a lot of money. The Cluster has a large influx of constant prisoners that they use for feeding the Lexx and other needs, so human bodies are easy to come by and in vast quantities. Them simply producing robotic heads with the ability to interface with the human nervous system and placing them on the decapitated bodies of expendable prisoners is a hell of a lot more cost effective and easier to do with the technology they have. It's just a cheaper, more effective option for them to have thousands fo 790 Units in production and use without the cost of manufacturing a fully functional and durable robotic body for them.
